Like a house slipper for the outside world

These shoes are comfortable immediately out of the box. I have a M width foot and they fit slightly on the loose side. I'm on my second pair and I like how the comfort of "yoga mat" cushion feels... at least for the first 3-6 months. As a reference I weigh 140lbs. After a while the padding begins to harden/diminish, and the comfort is more from the loose (broken-in) fit of the upper part of the shoe. I keep tripping over the front of the bottom sole. The sole of my old pair wore out so fast that I didn't notice how much was gone until I bought a second pair exactly one year later. In that one year the sole of my old pair has completely worn out at the heel and toe, and I don't wear them everyday! Minus one star for longevity. All else is excellent. Key Notes: -Fits much like a house slipper -Easy on/off -Cushion like a yoga mat (so I'm told.) It's like walking on a thin neoprene running track. -Bottom sole wears quickly, even if used as a secondary shoe -Temperature regulation and breathability is quite good

One flaw in design

Very comfortable for the soles of the feet. But if you have a wider foot like I do, there is thick stitching that creates really uncomfortable spots on both sides of the foot (with or without socks). I want to like them and will wear them for a second day to give them a chance, but they may end up being a return/refund for me.

Comfy, but fell apart

Initially I was very happy with these shoes. I wear them about 3 times per week for my office job. I don’t use them for strenuous activity. I mention this because my pair only lasted three months before starting to fall apart around the forefoot on the outer side of the shoe. This has happened to both shoes so it seems to be a design flaw and not a fluke. I’d love to recommend these, but I can’t.

Promising but ultimately disappointing

This turned out to be the first REI product for which I am totally dissatisfied. I was looking for a walking shoe that could double as dress shoe to take on a long trip, and these shoes appeared to fill that bill. However, each of the six times I wore them they developed a new discomfort factor. They are the most uncomfortable shoe I’ve ever had, and I will be returning them soon.

Excellent Casual Shoe

These shoes are great casual shoes. They go well with shorts. More importantly, they are great for walking around town. My feet never get tired.

Ouch! Had to return them

They felt great in the store. Then, after walking in them for 30 minutes or so, the inside seam at the bottom of the tongue became unbearable. I had no alternative for footwear, so was limping at the end of the day. Returned them to my local REI the next day. Too bad, as they were the perfect casual style for me.

Great everyday shoe

This is my first pair of Sanuk's and I am loving them! Great fit. I have slightly wide feet so casual shoes can sometimes be uncomfortable. The moccasin style of these shoes makes them extremely comfortable. The insole is a bit squishy at first but forms quickly to your feet. This is a great shoe to wear around town, either with socks or without.

Comfortable but not durable

I enjoyed these shoes but they did not hold up. The canvas at the edges of the soles pulled out on both shoes near the front after only light use and did not last 9 months. This was disappointing. I don’t think quality is to great on these which is unfortunate as style and comfort we’re good.

The seams tried to murder my foot

The seams on the front dug in so aggressively on the first step I thought I had somehow stepped on something. I got them for work and they look nice, but those seams man. Also, I should note that I’m a woman and wear a C width, so these shouldn’t have been a problem.

Great shoes whole they lasted

I loved these shoes, but after about maybe 4 months, the plastic around the cloth started cracking and the shoes feel apart. I walk a good bit, but only on sidewalks and around there office. They can act as more casual dress shoes, but they're super comfortable.
