Great Winter Shoe

I was first attracted by the looks of this shoe, the GTX lining, Vibram sole, and quick lacing system. On paper, they seem like the perfect shoe for Winter. When these arrived, I was skeptical about the fit. They're a little narrow in the toe box, and they have some slip in the heal. I wore them for a week with intentions to return them or have them change my mind. I wore them with different socks (thick and thin). After a week of wear, they broke in great! The fit is true to size, and the grippy sole is unmatched! Because the toe box is slightly narrow, I would not purchase these for my main hiking shoes, FYI. Later gators!

Purely a fashion shoe. Worthless for hiking.

Absolutely BIZARRE decision making on the design for these. The fit is gigantic on my average to narrow feet, everywhere but the front of the toebox (where it matters most), where it comes together SO tightly on my big toe, that it'd separate my toenail if I were to hike any distance in them. Typically, that means you try to customize the fit by using insoles (and I have a VERY nice set of custom orthotics that have served me well in several other pairs of hiking or trail running shoes), but these have the insoles GLUED IN so you can't use any custom orthotics, or cushioned insoles - which you'd need, since there is literally NO cushion to the insole or midsole on these.

Not worth taking the risk

Spending this much for a shoe that you don't know if it's 100% waterproof was a risk I was not willing to take. If the Vans team would be willing let me try I would be glad to try them out. I have been a Vans supporter when it was before it was kool to wear them pre Fast Times at Richmond High. Prior years to when they sponsored Tony Hawk in 2020. Look at old Thrashers magazine with McGill and Lance Mountain. If you think I am just someone that is too old and past their time, I have one of the first snowboard ever made. It was 1st competition boards. Hand made by Jack Burton.See Picture.

Vans for Disc Golf!

I purchased these Crosspath XC Blackout Gore-Tex Vans to use solely for playing Disc Golf, and I have to say they are nearly perfect. Slightly narrower than I'd like, but they are getting better the more I wear them. They look great, and keep my feet dry the entire time when it's raining. The traction is great, and I love not having to tie the laces!! I'd buy these shoes again for sure, and I'd certainly recommend them! #sweepstakes

Serious Drip, with no leaks… 😏

Literally have been wanting a pair of these since they came out and they don't disappoint. Been wearing Vans for at least 10 years now and continue to be impressed with how well they hold up. These are no exception and really set themselves apart as being a waterproof sneak. Great tread, great waterproofing, and they look insane. Genuinely my favorite pair of shoes right now

Fashion only. Stay off the trails.

Absolutely worthless for actual trail use. NO padding in the insole or midsole, but the insoles are GLUED IN, so you can't replace them with custom orthotics, or a cushioned insole. The fit is too large everywhere but the toebox, where it narrows down so severely that it'd destroy you nailbed if you used these for any distance. If you size up for the toe, the heel is low enough that you'll just slide out of the shoes. These are PURELY a fashion shoe.

Not waterproof

Unfortunately, for the price of the shoes, I was expecting top-notch waterproof quality… but sadly, that's not the case! They're nice looking, that's all.
