Outsole Issue
I have 2 pairs of these, the Talc and Dusk color. They are pretty comfy and fit well and are great as an everyday shoe, however, after just under a month the outsole in the heel has worn down. I’m interested to see how they will continue to wear, but I’m disappointed that the outsole wore out so quickly . Otherwise a good shoe!
Great barefoot shoes
I really like Merrell's barefoot shoes as I've had a few pairs of Vapor Trail Gloves over the years. I switched it up this time with the Wrapt Sneaker because I wanted a more casual look. I love the look of these shoes I bought in blue. My wife made fun of them, she thought the color reminded her of Grover or Cookie Monster from Sesame Street. I'm 50, so I don't care what she thinks. I think they look cool and I've gotten compliments on them from others. Mostly, people this the sole is cool how it wraps around onto the upper part. They're great and I would buy again (in same color)
Happy feet
I bought the dark cherry women’s in this style and they were so comfortable I wanted the blue but blue not offered in women’s size 9 so I purchased a men’s size 7.5 and they fit perfectly. I can wear this all day. So lightweight. I am 72 and don’t wear sneakers but these make my feet and hips and back happy.
The Killing Seam
I have been wearing Merrel Barefoot sneakers for at least 15 years. I ordered these for a trip to Scotland where I needed a shoe that offered protection from the elements. I wore them at home on a couple of occasion before my departure. I loved the solidity of the shoe and the ample room for the toes but noticed that the right shoe had a seem putting light pressure above my pinky. I finally wore them on a day trip involving having to sit on a bus for many hours. The pressure on my foot became unbearable, just sitting on the bus. It got worse walking. I started limping, trying to find a way to walk and had to remove the shoe every time back on the bus. I ended trowing them out as I didn't want to lug them around for the rest of the trip. I am so disappointed.
Another Great Hit!!!
Bought these just as they came out and I am very happy with them! I have now 3 different pairs of Wrapts, and they all fit perfectly, and I will say my feet never hurt! I wear the wrapt sneaker style for my everyday shoe and the style is on point. Has a great retro 80s vibe that I do like. The color(Dark Ivy) is a great color and goes with everything I wear. I am actually tempted to buy the blue color as well! Overall, very pleased and so are my feet! I wear a 13mens and these run true to size!
Bought 2 pairs (Green and Beige) Green pair gets about 4 stars but the beige right foot cannot ware as digs into my upper foot. Michael
great design, but uncomfortable arch fit
The design and craftsmanship of these sneakers are truly commendable. The materials feel premium, and the forefoot offers generous room, making them comfortable at first glance. However, I had to return them because the arch support is too aggressive—it presses into my foot even when standing, and I can’t imagine how much discomfort it would cause while running. If Merrell offered a version with a flatter sole and less curvature, I’d definitely consider buying again.
Vibram?
Why have you stopped using Vibram soles? Calling something Quantum doesn't give a product time tested quality. From looking at other reviews it seems this new sole material shouldn't make the cut. Been wearing Merrell for at least 10 years and the sole of the shoes has never been the first to go. Please stop reducing the quality of your product.
more than grippy soles!
After a short break in period they felt light and very comfortable. Grippy sole was outstanding. Realize these are lightweight casual sneaker, not for extreme technical hiking, but great for getting around town and local easy trails in comfort. Great Merrell quality and style,
Light, packable, and capable
Bought these for travel and they’ve been great at the airport and for light hikes. Headed to Africa with them as my primary light hikers will update review if they seem to not hold up, but performance so far has been just what I wanted. Very light and easy to pack.
