Basic=Better
This watch was appealing to me because it was very basic, too basic maybe? The watch shipped in 3 days so thumbs up to REI. How I have my watch set up is when I turn on the GPS mode to start running (which locates GPS signal in under 15 seconds) the first screen shows my time and under it my current pace. On the second page it has my distance and under it, my average pace. There is just the information that I want and not a lot of extra. I think this is a fantastic watch. Not to mention the activity tracking which has already got me moving more. If you are looking to get this as a smart watch, get something else though. That is the one part this watch does not accel. Worth every penny in my opinion.
Amazing all around watch.
This is an amazing all around watch. It's sad to me that people still buy Fitbits. This watch does everything that a Ftibit can do and more, for only a little bit more $$. The running screen is very customizable. You can connect Strava to your Garmin account, so every workout is automatically uploaded to Strava. The waterproof feature is a great benefit (I've tracked some swims using it). The watch technically only tracks running, but once you finish whatever type of workout you're doing, you can just go online and change the type of activity it was. The smart notifications are also a cool feature, and very easy to turn on/off. I don't really care much about the step counter, but it's just another cool feature to have. I highly recommend this watch. I wear it daily and it looks pretty good in my opinion.
Makes running easier
I absolutely love and I am enjoying the Garmin Forerunner 25. It is everything I need from pace time, lap time, calories burned, steps and, more importantly, it is really easy to use. I couldn't be happier and I recommend for those individuals that don't want to get caught up trying to figure out how to use it. It's simple and provides me with everything I need from a Garmin.
Enough bells and whistles
Had a Garmin 15 that died of exhaustion and replaced it with this model. Better design aesthetics, accurate functions and easy to use. I'm not a techy person so this is the perfect fitness watch for me.
