Very bad heart rate tracking
I had the Fenix 6 for years before I recently bought the Fenix 9. I opted for the smaller 47mm version because I read that it should help with heart rate accuracy. Unfortunately, the Fenix 9 is even less accurate than the 6. I know if you want accurate heart rate data you need a chest strap but I regret doubling down on Garmin. I've compared the same workouts with friends side-by-side and the Apple watch blows the Garmin out of the water for tracking accuracy. Their watch was able to show heart rate increases with intentional shifts in intensity where the Garmin just can't get it right. I just spent 30 minutes rowing hard and the watch claimed I only spent 3:19 minutes in zone 3 and the rest of the workout was in zone 1 & 2 even though I was gasping for air.
