Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pulses not Flashes This is a great addition to a commuting setup. I have a dynohub with bike mounted always-on front and tail lights. I put this L&M Vision 360+ on my helmet. The bike mounted lights help me see the road and the Vis 360+ helps drivers see me. The important thing to note is that this does NOT flash, it only pulses. This was a surprise to me, especially after watching the video posted here - the light does not flash like that anymore. Per L&M, they changed to pulsing in order to comply with EU regulations. L&M also believes that pulsing is less distracting for car drivers and it limits "fixation" on the light. At any rate, please be aware of this and set your expectations accordingly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for commuters This is a necessity for commuters. The front headlight in flashing mode really catches the eye of motorists in daytime or dark. People snap their heads at me when I point the light at them by simply looking at them. This really works, it saved my life a couple of times when cars were making turns at intersections. Remember, this light is to be seen, my other lights are to see the road. I had a couple of other lights that could mount on helmets, but, they were all too heavy. This one is very light. The back light is good when combined with another tail light on the bike. Motorists are more cautious when seeing two red lights blinking, because it shows you are a cyclist. Yes, this is worth the money.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Okay but could be better Does the job but: (1) Instructions are virtually non-existent. Tiny little drawings on the box are too vague to be helpful. Found some better instructions for the installation on their web site but they too left a lot of guess work. The online user manual (how to turn the thing on and off, recharging, etc. is a PDF printed in about a 4 point font - even magnified to 200% it is very hard to read. (2) Mounted on my Bell helmet, both the front and rear mounts dig into my head. On colder days when I am wearing a helmet liner this is not so bad. (3) You cannot tell how much battery life is left without plugging it in to charge. And, (4) at least for my helmet, you have to snap off the rear light to access the charging port.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A must for night commutes excellent for commuting even in daytime using the headlight in flash mode. The headlight is better for riding downhills at night than using a handlebar mounted headlight. The lights are easy to remove once mounting holders secured to helmet. The headlight on/ off button is easy to use while riding. Ideal to use with bicycle mounted lights when doing an all night ride. Greater visibility having lights at two different levels. The headlight is brighter than I thought it would be and I no longer use my headlight that has a higher output rating. Amazing light output from a small battery. Light easy to charge from laptop while at work. I would definitely get the Vis 360 plus model if you ever plan to do any downhill sections at night. When doing errands the lights are with you when you carry your helmet versus left on bicycle where someone could steal them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Reliable and convenient I use this light mainly in the flasher mode for visibility and it works very well. The front beam is relatively bright and very focused so you can shine it at cars to get their attention and the back flasher is up high on your helmet for maximum visibility. Since its a single unit, you charge the front and back lights at the same time. I've never had the light die on me in over 2 years of daily use. I use it during the day as well as during night rides. I charge it about once a week. The front light is pretty bright, but the beam is so focused that using it as a primary headlamp in very dark places undesireable. I use it mainly for the flasher mode and as a backup to my handlebar mounted light. I live in an arid climate, but it has been rained on a few times and functions fine. I don't know how well it would hold up to a lot of water. It's very light and compact. The front lamp is tiny and I keep it perpetualy mounted to my helmet. The back light mounts with a velcro strap that can be tricky to get enough tension on, but I havent had much trouble once I got it on. The back light actually snaps onto a piece that you attach to your helmet so if you get in a wreck it will just pop off instead of riping your helmet off.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Product defect with charging port. Clear product design/quality defect with charging port. Basically charging port comes loose in case you are unable to charge the light because the charging cable is unable to properly connect to the light rendering the light useless. I like the concepts and was a great light the short time it was operable. Quality is just not there and i cannot recommend to REI members. I recommend investing in nite rider light instead, as it has been a far more reliable product than the poorly made defective vis 360. I hope this review helps. If you do not want to spend five hours jiggling charging cables (see photo) to get the vis 360 charging port to light up, purchase a light from a different company. I hope this review spare other members the frustration of this product, the poor response times of the manufacturer's product support and their overall lack of responsiveness to a clear product defect,

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great light Highly recommended and here is why: I have had another brand name light claims it has 680 lumens and I have been happy with it. However, my new job requires to leave late so I will be biking in the dark. My plan is to use the 680 lumens light as my primary and get a secondary for blinking to get drivers attention. I was actually kind of disappointed after I received this 360 Plus unit because I realized that the blinking is actually fade-in/fade-out another words weak. Sure enough on my way home it got really dark and the fade-in / fade-out didn't really show. I was seriously thinking about return the unit. Out of kind frustration, I switch from the fade-in / fade-out mode to full light. Wow!!! That totally changed. Once I turn it to the full power, I can't see the light coming out from the 680 lumens light. For a couple of time, I must put my fingers in front of the 680 lumens light just to check if it is actually on. That's how bright and powerful this so-called 250 lumens light is. Now, I switch 360 plus as my primary light and then use the 680 lumens as a blinker. If you want a bright light to ride in the night, get it. Highly recommended.

Will this fit on a Bern Thin Shell helmet?

Asked by: dban
It depends on the model of helmet. This light is a great choice for the Allston helmet but not the best fit for the Watts helmet from Bern.
