I was looking for lightweight front DRL to replace my heavy Garmin headlight. There was too much weight hanging off the front Blendr mount. This does a great job as long as you only use it as a DRL. It won’t do squat as a front headlight. It connects seamlessly with my garmin 1040 so it’s one less thing to remember to turn off. When set to auto, it will begin to flash for the given condition when you start your ride. You can change the mode via the edge 1040 while riding or set it to auto and let garmin select the appropriate mode. The ANT+ is a game changer. I hope all bike lights adopt this standard. If it were to be improved, I would like to see it become a little bigger to increase time between charging sessions. But, I’m really splitting hairs. It’s great as is. I’ve been using it for almost a year and other than pilot error, it’s been outstanding.
Excellent in all aspects but one. The batteries should be serviceable since these are so expensive. I use two bar mounted headlights and one forward facing helmet light ( always on high strobe ). I have two rear lights , one mounted to my seat pouch and one on my helmet ( always on high strobe ) , drivers these days you know. The small size has allowed for great versatility in mounting.
