surprisingly comfortable

Bought this due to its relatively small size and weight but it's not for backpacking. Great for car/base camping/travel. I like the fact that when stacked, it's the height of a cot and you can sit comfortably on it. But while double stacked, the velcro can come loose and allow the top to move around. Single stacked, side by side, each mat is quite comfortable by itself which makes this sysyem more versatile. It inflates and deflates quickly and overall, it's more comfortable and way easier to set up than my other travel cot. Materials seem thick and sturdy. Only issue with being inflatable, is when I set it up during the day, at night when it cooled off, it needed to be topped off.

not perfect but awesome for intended uses.

purchased over a year ago for cabin use and sleeping on frozen ground while winter camping. not even remotely backpackable but still kinda awesome anyway. I was surprised how comfy these are even in single decker mode. looking forward to using in next in 4runner/overlanding mode this summer.

last chance (I think?)— good for “glamping”!!

Got this on sale and bought the double webbed mattress holder later. We’re in our 70s and still love tent camping and to keep this “magic” going into our 80’s I added this to our collection to make getting up out of “bed” easier. We love our current double 3D Nemo pad (3”) but I thought this would make us even more comfortable. It does but at a cost of time blowing it up. Using the “inflation” bag is very slow. Luckily we have a rechargeable inflation device— but the “nipple” for this BA “toy” won’t fit— no problem— a short 3/4” plastic pipe with 5 layers of duct tape made a nice adapter. What a nice sleep! But the slippery thick plastic will slide about so position the mattress appropriately— also two single pads or one double pad on top will also slide so the webbing clip-on thingy is very useful- unfortunately only one single is available with kit— but REI had the double on sale too. I think it’s much better than the “queen size” cheapo blowup mattresses available but it does take a bit of time to set up. It’s fairly compact and could be transported shorter distances backpacking but I’d say only car camping. For our bigger “glamping” tent mostly (REI’s Wonderland-X) but can fit in one of our 3 person (not 2 person) backpack tents but it’s “overkill” in that situation!

A bench, rather than a cot!

This cot gets you off the ground and can also be used as a “bench” to sit on. For sleeping, however, it is too narrow. Your arms and hands hang over the edges (I’m only 5’5”). If you prefer to use the mattresses side by side and sleep solo, then you must use a sleeping pad on both sides to make the sleeping platform level and comfortable.

can not leave A full review yet… This is A FYI

I have not used this yet. So I can’t give you A full review. I will update after I use it. However I want to make anyone that is looking at this privy to the fact that it does come with the net. To attach the sleeping pad on top of the two mattress. In the description from REI. It looks like it says it is not included. That is referring to the sleeping pad not the net. So if you buy this you will get the net to attach the sleeping pad. No need to go but one. .

Car camping mattress

I travel and car camp for remote jobs. Typically I'll arrive somewhere, setup tent, and at stay for at least a couple of days. Not a big fan of inflatable pads/cots but I took the leap on a single goosenest and use it as a mattress/pad. I do put one of my older lightweight ground pads with some r value on it in colder weather and the pad is captured and held in place by the clip on web. I roll them up together when on the road so they just unroll together. This setup managed 30 and high 20 degree temps no problem. I roll the pad up with the mattress and it's all ready to go for the next stop. Using the inflator bag requires some technique but now I can inflate the thing in about 4/5 mins and it's sort of like a breathing exercise. I inflate it fully, find it firm, and wake up feeling rested. Rolls up and stashes quickly. User tip: the plugs must to be "completely" pushed on and in all the way. It lost air and I woke up on the ground one time that I failed to completely push the plug in. In hindsight, once inflated, I don't recall ever having to add air in nearly 40 days. Works well for me and seems to be put together well so I'm glad I was able to pick one up on sale.

Horrible one of cots kept losing air. When you stack them they do not stay stacked. Side by side they come apart. My sleeping bag slides off of them because they are slick. As for R value I do not believe there is one. Don’t buy

so easy to set up and put away

I use them all the time. Love the ease of set up and break down. Comfy. Could be a little wider but it works.
