Amazon Watch but...

Got this for my birthday, I was unsure about the watch, but it has helped me focus more on getting more exercise daily next to my dog, here and then I do the EGC, I see my records in the Garmin Connect App and the website itself, However, I was expecting more compatibility with Google Maps so that I can rely on the watch giving voice instructions, peaking here and then the turns, traffic lights, eta while driving instead of the GPS phone PD: Hope we can get updates to use more apps especially google maps through this watch. Overall, I love it, thanks for building this.

Beautiful watch!!

This is an absolutely gorgeous watch! I have had the Fenix 5s Plus and an Apple Watch and the Venu 2 Plus is by far my favorite watch of the two. The amoled screen is so crisp and high tech looking which makes the Venu easily stand out from the rest of the Garmin series. I love having the ability to program workouts and create my own workouts in the HIIT activity and strength activity. I love that the strength activity highlights the primary and secondary muscles used during the workout. This watch works great for both my CrossFit workouts and my running workouts which played a big role in deciding which garmin to go with. The battery life is really good compared to apple watches and even when I keep the screen on 24/7 and do activities, I get a solid 2 days out of the battery. The ONLY downfall I found with the Venu 2 Plus is the training effect feature. With my Fenix, I really utilized the training effect and suggested rest. The anaerobic and aerobic measurements helped me to see how hard I pushed myself during training and helped me in future workouts. As mentioned above, I’m a multi sport athlete so having the suggested rest really helped me determine whether or not to take an active rest day or not. As disappointed I am in not having those features, the beauty and function of the Venu 2 Plus is enough to help me oversee those missing features.

Best Switch Ever!

I finally made the switch from my Apple Watch to this and I love it!! It doesn’t last the full 9 days it’s supposed to, but still significantly longer than my Apple Watch! It’s much cuter to wear and also records all of my activities & workouts accurately! I had been using Strava as my main recording for running because my Apple Watch’s milage was way off. Garmin and Strava have the same milage count. So many things to love about the Garmin!! I’m still learning to use it, but I have no bad things to say!!! Worth the money! Oh and you can swim with it and it records pickleball!!

Garmin Venu 2 Plus

I bought this watch in August 2023. I love the watch but it is no longer syncing with my phone. My watch still says that it is Good Friday. So I am not sure if anything on the watch is accurate.

Great features but needs to be more durable.

I bought this watch about a month ago. I really like the features- the display is sharp with good color, the workout options are great, and there's plenty of useful info. Unfortunately my watch glass broke while doing yard work. In fairness it does appear something small hit the glass, but I don't recall striking anything. I've worn other watches which I know have received hard hits that had less damage than this watch. It does still work so that's a plus.

Great watch!

I have always been happy with the Forerunner watches I've had in years past for marathon training and hiking. I purchased the Venu 2 Plus to replace my Fitbit Versa 2 watch. I struggled at first with the transition to the Venu 2 Plus, mostly because I couldn't find a watch face that was similar to the Fitbit watch face that I loved. After a few days and searching through the various watch faces, I finally found one (had to purchase though)! I love that flower blooms as i get closer to my step goal. Features that I use the most so far: steps, heart rate, sleep, period tracker, exercise tracker, time/date, weather. The battery life is great so far, but I've only had the watch for 3 weeks.

Love this watch with the Easy Round watchface

Amazing watch with 18 data fields displayed on the watch face. I monitor my heart rate continuously and frequently take my ECG. I can easily print the ECG and share with my cardiologist. Easily download golf courses and view distance to pin location. The sleep tracking is excellent. I charge the watch only once per week.

The ECG App is crap, do not buy this watch!

Do not waste your money on this watch if you want the ECG function to work properly with AFib conditions like I have. When in AFIB my heart rate typically shoots to 140's bpm, but the ECG app cannot check for AFib heart rhythms if my heart rate is over 120 bpm? That is what AFib is Garmin, a high fluttery heart rate!!! I utilized my wife's Apple watch instead and it detected AFib instantly with my heart rate at 150 bpm! The only reason I purchased this watch is for the ECG to detect when I was in AFib so I could track it for my doctor. Coming from a Fenix 3, I loved the long battery life and expected the same with the Venu 2 Plus versus a daily charge with the Apple watch. Now I wish I can get a refund!

Not for Tennis

I am an avid tennis player and bought a Venu 2 Plus when my Fitbit died. I loved everything about the Garmin and it had a built in tennis app. Unfortunately, it was always off on steps and was even worse at determining (or even estimating) the distance covered while playing. Customer support told me that they were not surprised by this. I asked why they even had a tennis app that included a distance data point. No answer on that. I returned the device and purchased another Fitbit. Get this fixed and I'll try again, but until then, tennis players should not purchase a Garmin device if they want reasonably accurate steps and/or distance covered.
