An unexpected premium upgrade!
I have been a fan of Garmin products ever since my days as an active-duty US Army Special Forces member. At one point, the original Garmin fenix line was an issued watch to our unit as it outperformed the Suunto watches we were equipped with up to that point. I have owned every iteration of the fenix, as well as the Epix, and this is my first experience with the tactix. It is a terrific upgrade! The new UI is amazing and really takes advantage of the AMOLED screen. The speed of the user interaction is equally pleasing. This is a rugged yet elegant tactical instrument that I feel I can rely on. Now, as a retired service member, the tactix 8 is my go-to fitness and outdoors adventure wrist worn computer!
This Watch Does It All
I have used various smart watches in the past. Being a long-term iPhone user I brought into the hype and used them for years as well. I've tried other competing brands of smart watches i. .e Polar and I believe that overall none compares to the features and function of the Tactix 8 Ambled. It has the most complete availability of health, watch face, and applications for downloading. But for me the best has been the GPS, Map, and ballistic functions. Totally outstanding! Even with my wrist being slightly under 7" I purchased the 51 mm option for the readability of lots of data on the watch face. All in all I am well pleased with my purchase.
Everything I’ve been hoping for
I waited for years to buy a new one after loving my original Garmin tactix delta and this one is everything I have been wanting. It’s got every feature I can think of that mine was lacking and the fact it has the touch screen along with amoled any other watch doesn’t compare. One charge thus far has lasted me a month and that’s using all the features on it. If you’re looking for the best of the best when it comes to Garmin this is the one your looking for.
Absolutely what I expected!
Just upgraded from the Fenix 7X Pro Sapphire Solar and I LOVE this Tactix 8 Sapphire AMOLED! THE BEST WATCH I’VE EVER OWNED! I love the customizing options and the features! The activities menus are way better and the colors are awesome! If I would have bought the Fenix AMOLED before I would have liked it much better. This screen is amazing!! Thanks guys!!!
Department of technology
I got a Garmin tactic 8 51mm amoled display heart rate is not good screen display is not bright too many problems with this watch
New OS is a game changer
This thing is a beast !! Can’t wait to bang it up on the trails tgisnyearv
Great Device!
I really love this device. There is a lot to learn since there is so much it can do but it's been fun playing and learning. Let's get this out of the way . . . the battery life is insane! I mean, 30 days of constant use! Once you get it set up everything is easy and all of your info is instantly available right on your wrist. I have more to do with it now that I'll be riding my new bike, running, and swimming again. I'm confident it will handle all of that with ease.
Great upgrade to Fenix 6
I got my Tactix 8 Pro as a 60th Birthday present, and it is the third upgrade to a series of Fonex videos I had previously. It is undoubtedly the most significant upgrade of all. The flashlight, touchscreen, and voice functionality make it so. The titanium case reduces its weight without compromising strength and durability. I couldn't ask for a better smart field watch that is a pleasure to wear daily.
Meh not a huge improvement over the Tactix 7 pro
… I guess I would be fine sort of given the lackluster upgrades over the Tactix 7 but Garmin… you guys seriously? 2k watch and you can’t bother to give me two straps? Why is it that I’m being told that watches purchased outside of the US got both the rubber and nylon band and ones purchased inside the US only get rubber? Come on?!
A fantastic sportsman's watch!
I've had many Garmin watches over the years and have really enjoyed all of them. This watch is by far my favorite overall. I feel it looks better than the Fenix watch that I had before, looking very rugged yet upscale. So far my software and everything has worked perfectly. No complaints at all.
