Very poor fit
These are probably the most uncomfortable pair of shoes I have ever put on. They were very light and I really wanted to love them, but they did not seem shaped to fit any realistic human foot. My feet are not wide and normally fit great into pretty much any brand of shoes.
Fits great but LEAKS
This boot fits my foot well. I have a size 10.5-11 EE and I bought a size 12. Unfortunately it failed the leak test. The upper nylon portions on both boots leaked in a 1-2 mile walk in a light to medium rain. There were dark streaks where they leaked. Very disappointing!
Looks great but it feels strange on the foot
I love how these boots look, but the inner layer is almost equivalent to the thick inner layer that comes in any ski/snowboard boots, however the one in this boot just feels weird and the material is not right. It’s also not wide enough around the toes. Very sad I had to return them
Great grip, fit is a little loose
First off, these are the grippiest boots I've ever worn. On top of that, the snow doesn't get stuck in the tread. My feet get cold very easy, and these keep them warm. They fit a little loose around the top of my foot. This is nothing that can't be fixed with an insole. I took off a star because they feel like a boot that isn't going to last. The upper just feels too flexible.
Needs Some Adaptation
Let me first say that I got these for $69 on closeout, so the rest of what I say should be considered with that in mind. These fit my foot as badly as any footwear I have ever tried before. It's like you're putting on the shoebox, not the shoe. The fit IS like a box, with no arch, no heal cup, etc. Not surprised at all that they are on closeout. I had read the reviews and it was obvious that the fit was bad, but I had an idea that I wanted to try, so I bought a pair. They come as a shell, with a liner, and they seem to be well made - other than the fit. Anyway, I threw away the liners, and replaced them with a set of fitted Intuition liners from some old AT boots I don't use anymore and, TA DA, I now have the most comfortable snow boots ever! They have good traction and are nice and flexible for moving around in all day. I've taken them for long day hikes in the snow and my feet felt great at the end of the day.... and warm. The liner is supposed to be water resistant - not sure what that means in this case, but so far I haven't had issues with any moisture getting through the shell. (they kind of like you're wearing a pair of snowboard boots FWIW) Again, for $69, I'm happy with how it worked out. I guess I would recommend these - for the shell - at the right price. Food for thought. I gave them 3 stars for the potential I guess.
Break Them In
I bought these on sale and had a 20% off coupon and a gift card to boot so I can't really complain. when I first out them on, they were stiff to the point of being almost painful. I took the liners out and worked them a little, readjusted the laces and now they feel great. they're still a little stiff and but they don't hurt. They're warm around the house. We'll see how they hold up when the snow starts to fall.
Comfortable...if you up-size it.
I was reluctant because of the amount of 1 star reviews that noted that these boots were uncomfortable. So I got the larger size. It meant that the boots were a little bulkier than usual, but they were so comfortable that wonder whether or not some of the lower reviewers would have been happier with going 1 size bigger than they did.
Uncomfortable
So uncomfortable that I sent them back immediately
Apres-ski boot FTW
Great boot. I like the removable ski boot-like liner and added an old insole for better support and to take up some volume in the fore-foot area. Very warm and great traction. Stands up to the deep wet slush of the Mt. Baker parking lot. Just the kind of boot I needed for post-skiing dog sessions. Not really a hiking boot, though, truly a snow boot.
