Love them!
I ordered these for our rainy winter for a pair of boots that go on quick. I put these on today right out of the box and they were so comfy I wore them all day. I have a lot of heel pain from planter fascititis and they were amazing. No heel pain all day! A little tight in the toe box at first if you have a wide foot but you get used to it quickly. Pretty much the perfect shoe.
Comfortable but not waterproof
These boots are comfortable but they are far from waterproof. In fact, a morning with good dew on the ground will soak these boots. So while they are nice enough, they didn't meet my needs.
comfortable and sturdy, but not the style I want
These were comfortable and seemed true to size. I only wore them around the house as a trial so didn't get to try out their traction in the elements but seemed like it would have been good! Sturdy and well-made but not overly chunky/heavy. Ultimately decided it was not the look I want for my chelsea boots. The black material was more matte than I expected, and scuffed easily (I have not come across leather like that before), and the separate toe & heel strips were almost shiny, which gave them a kind of snow boot look, rather than something more casual/everyday. These would be great for outdoor activities but probably I would feel strange wearing them for indoor events, and I'd rather find something that works for both!
Way too narrow
The entire sole of the shoe from the heel to the toe box is so narrow that it rubs the heel and sides of my feet. For reference, I am an average size. I wear a size 7.5 or 8M in Brooks, new balance, sorel, keen, blundstone, ariat, etc, and these boots are significantly more narrow. I bought the 8 in these. I don't even think I could tolerate trying to break them in they are so uncomfortable. Too bad because the style and color are fabulous, but the fit is probably one of the worst shoes I've ever put on my feet. Most mud boots and work boots give you ample room to put on some nice socks and have room for your toes to spread out so you're more comfortable being on your feet doing work. These are beyond tight. I'll stick with Blundstones.
Cute and warm but runs small!
I bought my regular size 8.5 and they were about a 1/2-1 size too small. They’re also very narrow and stiff. I recommend sizing up half a size or a full size especially if you plan on wearing warm socks. I ordered the next size up and hope they will fit, they’re very nice!
Exactly What was Wanted
Great fit, sizing totally accurate; the boots themselves were immediately comfortable and don't have that rubber-boot feeling at all: breathable, and totally waterproof. Good soles: I wear these through the rainy, unpaved roads in my little town when I walk my dogs, and my footing is confident in mud and on hills, with more than adequate traction. I think the soles even have enough protection to use when doing shovel work, come spring. Great purchase!
Narrow but gorgeous
I get so many compliments whenever I wear these, and they are stunning shoes. I never need to buy "wide" shoes, but do appreciate when there is room in the toes. These are so narrow, that my "bunyon areas" are so sore for hours after taking them off. If you have even slightly wide feet, I'd look elsewhere. Unfortunately I didn't know they were uncomfortable until wearing them and that made it so I couldn't return.
Love Boggs!!!!!
True to size. The toe box is a bit on the looser side which, for me, makes them super comfy right out of the box. Feels like they're already broken in. I've taken a few long city walks with my dog and they don't rub anywhere and my feet stay warm outdoors without sweating indoors in 30-50° Michigan weather. This is my second pair of Boggs and both have way exceeded my expectations in comfort and quality
I'm obsessed
These exceeded expectations. Some of my favorite qualities about these are: -true to size (my usual 7.5 = 7.5 here) -no break-in period; immediately comfortable (even w a mild bunion) -WARM -slightly elevated so extra warm compared to my previous thin-soled rainboots -dry -easy to put on -three months of daily wear in a wet climate, and they are holding up well Cons: None so far
Perfect
I live in a rural area that gets rain, slush and snow, sometimes all in one day. I've been using my heavy winter boots. I got these boots to wear in all conditions and still look nice. So far they have been good at keeping my feet dry and warm AND they are very comfortable and look nice too. I can wear them with jeans, slacks, leggings, skirts, etc. Highly recommend!
