KEEN  Kosa Chelsea Boots - Women's

Theoretically, these would be great boots. Soles a bit rigid which is good for my arthritic big toes (halus limitus/halux rigidus). But the size! If I have on well-cushioned socks, my Dansko clogs in 39 fit closely. Not tight, but close. In these boots, my foot is swimming all over the place. Front to back, side to side. Those well-cushioned socks also make it hard to get into the boot. The heel of the sock gets stuck outside the narrowish ankle, then zooms down into a clump. I will have to try another size; I'm not quite willing to give up. But I will for sure have them shipped to a store so I can try before I actually walk out the door with them.

Very cute, unfortunately the top of the shoe digs into my ankles (which are pretty standard size), and there really isn’t any cushioning in the sole. These are much better in theory than in reality. And while they’ll probably be a good fit for some people, I’d definitely say the price point is too high for the quality.

I really like the more chic look of the Kona Chelsea boot, a bit more stylish than the Greta, but still a good, practical boot. They are, however, quite wide. I wish this style came in a narrow version, unfortunately my foot is swimming in them. I added a second insole on top of the one they come with which improved the width, but led to blisters on my heel. I’m curious to see how the are with thicker wool socks in the winter, but for now I’m only able to wear them to run errands, and not for times I’ll be doing any amount of walking.

This boot is idiotic. The shaft so extremely narrow I almost can't get my foot in. When I do, my sock is all crumpled up around my heel. These boots should have finger loops back AND front. Try taking them off: the first one off is easy, because you're using the sole of the other to help get it off. The second is very difficult. Note that unlike any other footwear I've ever encountered, size 9 is European 39.5! Size 81/2 is Euro 39! What the heck?! I tried 39.5 with a thick sock. Once I got my foot in through the narrow but manageable shaft, and my socks got themselves straightened out, my foot sloshed around: forward and back, side to side. Returned to try the 39. Finally got the boots on, finally squirmed my feet around to get my socks back to normal. Narrow! Not too short, but narrow. Tried a lighter sock. Easier on, width better, but now my foot is scooting forward and back. The thing that kills me, besides the strange size conversion, is that Keen is the company all about "Let your toes splay!" Nobody's toes can splay in these boots, unless they have particularly narrow feet. If I lived somewhere warm and never needed a thicker sock to keep my feet warm, heck, maybe the next size down . . . NO. Just NO. I also want to complain about not being able to order these to ship to a store, where I could have tried them on, rejected them, and returned them easily. But I can go to the store I couldn't have them shipped to to return them.

I was so excited for these boots as a waterproof option for rainy weather but unfortunately the part around the ankle/calf area was really tight on me and even with long socks I could feel that it would chafe. The actual footbed was comfortable and fit my foot well. Looked really cute but I wouldn't recommend for anyone with a slightly thicker ankle or calf.

There is a bump in the left shoe under the ball of my foot, it seems to be in the rubber of the sole. I noticed that another customer commented about the same problem and in the same foot and same size I ordered. Is this a problem with the size 6. 5 only? Have returned the shoes.

Love these boots! Most comfortable pair I own! My feet have actually become very picky post pregnancy but they’re really happy in these. Were a bit tight at first, but after wearing them for a week they’re perfect! I also have wider feet and I didnt need to size up at all.

These are the perfect Chelsea boots! I'm a usual 8. 5/9/39 and the 9 is perfect and my inserts fit. The soles have grip and my psoriatic arthritis hands and feet love them. Thank you for making a cute boot I can wear without pain.

Very nice boots. Comfortable, easy to remove insoles to add custom orthotics. Good on various surfaces. I appreciate that they are more minimalist-looking than most Keen boots, no giant yellow logo.
