These boots are amazing!
I ordered a pair of these in December, right before the Christmas Freeze hit the Midwest. They were perfect - they kept my feet toasty warm on a walk with temps in the single digits. Plus they're so comfortable: they're soft on the inside but have firm enough soles to give good traction. If you're a half-size, order up to the next size.
Useless for winter use - don't even bother
Useless design - cannot pull them on with a thick sock one would wear in the winter. Toebox very narrow once you do wiggle your foot in. Very disappointed.
Runs very small and return shipping is horrible
This boot is nice, but runs very small. I normally wear a size 7 ordered an 8 to fit with thick socks and it’s so tight even with thin socks. And I don’t have an REI store near me and they want to charge me 5.99 to return this via usps. It’s not even my fault the sizing is horrible. First time ordering from this site and I am very disappointed.
Too narrow
The shoes are very cute but too narrow. I brought a size up after reading the other reviews but it was still too narrow.
Good - but not great (I still would buy again)
I can see why other reviewers wanted more of a pull tab at the back of the boot - it could make it easier / more intuitive to put on - but it's fine once you adjust. The first time I tried to put them on, I was a little frustrated by the lack of tab. You can pull the draw string part, but then it tightens things around your ankle as you're trying to put the shoe on. However, just make sure the back clears the back of your ankle and pull from the sides. It works fine. I usually wear a 7.5 shoe. The 8s fit fine. I'm not sure they would work with a real thick sock, though, so I definitely see why people say to size up. In my case, if I tried a 9, it might have been too big, so if you're a half size, you'll have to make that choice. These boots will add more height than I expected, just in case anyone wants something really low profile or is looking for more height. Overall, these will be a go-to boot for me this winter, but they could fix the sizing and add a back tab under the pull string.

Love them. They became my daily walking boot in Finland. Stayed warm and very comfy. Want to get them in every color.
