Disappointed already broken
I bought these boots just over a month ago and they are already ripping away at the instep, on both shoes. I’m so disappointed as I really love these boots and they are very comfortable. I have only been wearing them to walk my dog, so for them to show such distress in such a short time is shocking. I have never had a pair of Merrell shoes before, and always thought they were an exceptional brand.

Great boots, order 1/2 size up
Just got these and they are awesome. They are very Narrow: I’m usually a size 9 went up to a 9.5. They were snug but molded to my foot. The foot bed is comfortable and the soles are great. I have worn them 3 days in a row doing different activities such as being on my feet for 6 hours, walking and dancing.
LOVE these boots!
Love these boots! They are comfortable, warm, waterproof and have great traction! I wore them everyday on my 10 day ski trip. Wearing these is like walking on clouds. They don't dig into your ankles like some chelsea boots do.

Love them! I wear them basically everyday… great for winter and also great for long walks.

Awesome boots
Due to a fractured bone in my foot, I have a hard time finding comfortable shoes and boots. Took a chance on these and was not disappointed. They are so comfortable and stylish and look great with everything. Wish they came in other colors (i.e. brown, gray) as I would have bought them all; the white is nice, but not a color I want. I wanted another pair in black, but my size was sold out :( I hope Merrell brings these back for next fall/winter and doesn't change a thing about them because they are perfect as is!

I love them!
I bought a pair of the Bristol Chelseas last year, and they are fantastic; cute, kinda hip, super comfy, and able to do many things. A walk in the forest, a splash in a puddle, dinner out. With dresses. With pants. In an icy ski area parking lot. The Vibram sole is excellent. For those complaining about waterproofness: the leather is waterproof, though the gusset is not. They are not wading boots. I love them! Please make them in brown, with a black or neutral sole! I'll snap them up in a heartbeat!

So glad I bought them!
I had these boots for only a couple of weeks before packing them for a two-week trip to Italy. I walked a million miles in them in Rome, Naples and Florence. These boots were perfect. Comfortable and great for the cobblestones and uneven surfaces. I really didn't need any time to break them in. They felt great from the start. They will be my go-to boot for the rest of winter. I usually wear a size 7 but sized up to a 7.5 for these boots to make sure I had room for slightly thicker socks.
Love them but…
I purchased half a size up as recommended and they feel great from the heel to the ball but large and roomy by the toes. I sometimes trip with these boots because they are slightly longer than I am used to. I probably should have gone with my own size but now that I’ve worn them for a while I would be concerned that my size would be too tight. These are a bit tough to slip on but I just LOVE the look. These have become a staple in my wardrobe.

Nice boots
Great boots, but rather narrow in the footbed. I ordered my usual size and a pair a half size up. The toe box and footbed on half size up definitely felt more comfortable but it was noticeably loose on the ankles. My usual size fit well everywhere else, but was not as comfortable because it’s more narrow. Overall, still a great, stylish boot that worked well for me on the city and also hiking over rocks and through mud.
Five stars for style and comfort
These boots are made for walking! I was traveling to Japan and did a ton of research to find a boot that was warm for snow and suitable for walking and these checked all the boxes! I wore them hiking, in the snowy mountains, and walking all over the city. I’m an 8 and they were true to size. If you have a wide foot they could be snug, but for me they fit like a glove. They were also stylish and very comfortable.
