Comfy, but concerned with quality
These boots are so comfortable! However, I’m not sure if they are going to hold up well. I noticed that the stitching was off in a few places, like the sewing machine missed a stitch and kept going, throwing off the rest of that line of stitches. There is actually a little loop where the stitches pulled away from the leather. I thought I was just unlucky until I noticed that it happened in different places on both shoes. It definitely feels like poor quality control. Thankfully, REI has the best return policy! Since the boots are so comfortable, I’ve decided to continue wearing them while keeping an eye on the stitching to see if it gets worse.
Seams coming apart on left shoe
I bought these earlier this month, and have really been enjoying them. That is until I discovered the stitching on the back of the left heel is coming apart. Unfortunately it keeps getting worse so I will have to return them. Before I discovered that, I really liked the grip on the soul of the shoe, that they’re waterproof to wear outside for hours, and that they’re super easy to slip on and off. I plan on replacing them with another pair of the same shoe. I also still recommend them to someone for the latter reasons I listed. Hopefully this issue won’t happen again on the next pair!
Perfect boot
Great Barefoot boot, very comfortable right out of box. I walk outside a lot at work and these are great. Still stylish for a barefoot shoe. True to size.
Perfect boot for the minimalist
I love zero drop/minimalist shoes, so I picked this boot to try over other similar options and I absolutely love them. I’ve already worn them nearly every day for two months now and they have held up well for many different activities. I’ve played 4 hours of frisbee golf, shoveled my driveway, and gathered firewood in these boots and they just get more comfortable every time I wear them! Traction is great also, we’ve had a snowy winter so far in CO.
So comfortable and yet sturdy
I love these shoes! I have other Xero shoes that fit really well and wanted a pair of pull on boots. I got these in a half size bigger based on recommendations but I think I could have gotten away with the smaller because they do break in a bit. However, I can wear thick socks with these which is perfect for Colorado winters.
Great if it fits
This is a very cute boot, and would have been very useful for me. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to get either my insole or my foot into it. There is plenty of room in the boot for the insole and the foot, but the shaft was too stiff to get either one inside.
A full size too small
I have purchased several pairs of Xero shoes as well as other wide toe box and zero drop shoes. Overall Xero brand has been the most inconsistent in sizing, and this shoe especially is way too small. I’d say it’s a full size too small. Xero needs quality control.
Disappointed
The main reason I bought these is because these were advertised as all weather boots (rain or shine). Unfortunately, I went on a hike and walked through dewy grass and found these boots are NOT weather proof and had to hike back with my feet soaked. I won't be purchasing again in the future.
