Very Comfy
I have shoe/foot comfort issues and I really never know when I buy shoes and boots how my feet are going to respond, these are by far the most comfortable boots and I am a boot guy with a lot of boots, good every day wearers!
Excellent Weatherproof, Comfy, Fashionable Boot
I was looking for a winter boot that would be comfortable for all day wear and fashionable enough to wear into the office without looking like a hiker. These hit the mark. Nice looking with jeans or slacks and good sole traction without extra bulk. Lightweight and super comfortable boot. Decent insulation keeps feet warm but not uncomfortably so when indoors. Would probably need thick wool socks if trudging in snow and ice but for cold air temps they worked excellent. Waterproofing is excellent after wear in heavy rain and mud my feet were bone dry. Struggled with finding the right solution and found it.
Big boot!
Comfortable boot. Out of the box they're a bit of a "grandpa boot". Just because they're a bit shinier and perfect than pictured. I need to dull them and distress them a bit. Also, they run big which is consistent with reviews everywhere. But it's more than the usual "runs big". I wear 9.5 in Salomon, Danner, Carhartt, Thursdays. I ordered these in a 9 and they're still too big even with a midweight wool sock. I wasn't expecting "runs big" was a full size. So keep that in mind. Once distressed with some creases and wear lines I think they are going to look great.
Let's wait and see.
Runs large and I stepped down a 1/2 size for a somewhat better fit. The toe box to too tall for a comfortably snug fit. I've added a second flat insert to narrow that space and it is closer to what I like. The width of the toe box is quite nice. The boot is still and I'm trying to beat it up some to soften the over all feel. I have not had to "break in" a leather boot in a long time but do remember it can take awhile. More time to really know if I can love this one. Sale price sure was great!
Nice Casual Boot
overall i like the boots. i rarely order shoes without trying them on first, but these worked out nicely. some pros include: makes for a good casual/fashion boot. they are comfortable and stylish. the leather is softening up and breaking in nicely after a few wears, and so far they've been waterproof enough to keep my feet dry and warm when walking around my field and woods. some cons include: the traction on slippery floors isn't great, and the sizes run a little big (i'm usually a 9.5 but had to get a 9 in these with a little room to spare still). the leather on the upper felt a little cheap and plastic-like, but it's softened up after a few wears and has broken in nicely. i dont believe these would hold up as a work boot or a heavy-hiker, but for casual, everyday wear they're pretty nice. 4/5 stars, would recommend.
Good to Go
My husband thought these were comfortable and easy to tie up. He likes them.
Fashinonable yet Ready for the Elements!
I purchased these for my son who works in an office that requires him to go into a warehouse frequently! He needed something nice looking, but also able to beat the elements of a cold Wisconsin winter! These were perfect! He loves them and has said that his feet have stayed both warm and dry! We had an issue with one of the lace eyelets coming off. I contacted Bogs and they immediately sent a new pair! Love companies like Bogs who stand by their products!
Has wide toe and narrower heel
The guys at work wear them so I thought I would try a pair as a gift to my son. He says they fit well and they look nice for a waterproof boot. It doesn't look took much like a work boot which is nice. He has a hard time finding a wide width but he said these fit. He also likes that it narrows in the heel. He hasn't worn them for long as of yet, but the guys at work have had theirs for years!
Grandpa boot.
If youre looking for comfortable and if youre a hiker these boots are it. The boots look wide and more like rain boots. Theyre a little too shiny for me and almost look cheap. A boot grandpa would wear. The sole is and the ankle part are sturdy. 3 stars because Im not fond with the look. Wanted them for work but look too much of a grandpa boot.
The Perfect Mix
Where do I start? We all know Bogs makes the best outdoor/work/get in the mud boots on the planet, but I was skeptical at their more leisure line of boots. The jury is in- I love them, highly recommend, and bought some more as Xmas gifts. Comfy, stylish, durable (the standard for Bogs!)
