OluKai  Papaku 'Ili Chukka Boots - Men's

I purchased these boots because they were advertised as waterproof and they have a sneaker-like appearance and they didn’t disappoint. After wearing them around in Los Angeles (where it rarely rains anymore) for a month I brought them as my primary shoe for a winter trip to Japan. For two weeks of daily rain, sleet, hail and snow these boots kept my feet warm and dry. They performed equally well in 2 feet of snow and the trains and crowds of Tokyo. Comfortable, functional, quality materials and build and stylish. These are not traditional boots, there are no lugs on the soles, remember, they have grippy sneaker soles, so be careful when walking over icy streets. The boots do run large. My first pair was about one full size larger than what I normally wear, so I had to drop down in size.

My husband usually buys a different brand of a similar style shoe every winter, but this year I decided to switch things up and got him the OluKai Chukka boots. He's absolutely in love with them. He says they don't require any breaking in like other shoes and are extremely comfortable from the start. He's already worn them in light snow and rain, and they've stayed waterproof and look perfect with no water stains. Color is a perfect blend of brown and grey and go with everything. He's now a loyal OluKai customer!

I have owned a dozen different Olukai shoes and flops, their fit has always been consistent and comfortable, so I was surprised when my new chukka boots arrived and their fit was so off…. These boots are very long (+2” bigger than my other size 12 Olukai shoes), but super narrow too. If you’re an elf, these may be a great option, but I had to return them.

I replaced an older pair of OluKai shoes with this model and find them as comfortable for walking and everyday use. No need to break them in. They are roomy so I suggest sizing down a half size. I usually wear an 11 and find the 10.5 fits fine with room for heavy socks. They may not be a good choice for people with narrow feet. They are water repellent in light rain and provided traction with no slips. I would buy these again.

Second time I've been burned with an Olukai tan (or "Mustang") turning out to be pale green in my hand. These are going back. I wish Olukai would fix this color, I like their shoes, but... green?

I needed another water resistant shoe for our travels, and these look good in jeans or travels slacks. The break in period took a little longer than other shoes, and I did buy a new superfeet insole, as I didn’t like the original one. After different trips to Seoul, Barcelona and Paris, I really like these. I even have wore them with travel shorts, and they work well.

Liked them so much I bought a second pair, and might even buy another pair in a third color! I now own nine pair OluKai shoes, some of which I’ve had for longer than 10 years. They are always my go to! I’m so glad they came out with this style, it’s my favorite style, but I’ve always had a hard time finding a good comfortable shoe - until now!

I was looking for a shoe that was comfortable and stylish to boost my options. I love these shoes. OluKai will not disappoint and this is my second pair from them. I did treat them for water protection to increase longevity and retain cleaner leather. Very happy with my purchase.

Shoes look as pictured. Very well made, true to size, comfortable. The fine suede gives it an elegant feel, the soles are non-slip, and the water-resistant quality and lining will keep your feet warm.

Olukai shoes are amazing in fit and style plus the confort you should expect for the price of these shoes, they also came with a cleaning kit which was an extra surprise.
