Poor waterproofing and durability
I love Merrell and rely on them for everything. I spend most of my days wearing them on the farm and forest. After a month, the toe shield had completely separated. Three months in and my feet are soaking wet in these things. Water has tracked in through the toe shield gap and I feel athletes foot forming as I type. Honestly really disappointed with the quality of these as they were supposed to be a reliable pair of work boots that don’t need to be replaced 4 times a year. I love the durability of the vibram sole but the rest of the manufacturing needs to be held up to the same standard.

Moab Adventure 3 Chelsea
The Chelsea has been an outstanding boot. Very comfortable, easy to slip on, durable, fashionable, and great to wear on my motorcycle. I purchased the black and brown variants and have been very happy with them.
Thank you for your rating!
Perfect for my needs
This 7.5 wide boots are one of the few slip-on boots that are sized right for my high-arch, high instep feet. Merrell shoes/boots are ideal as their lasts have a roomy toe box. They are easy to put on and take off, which is perfect as I've reached the age where shoe laces are more a nuisance than a need. With climate change bringing wimpy winters, I no longer need higher nor warmer boots. I wear these when I shoveling, taking photo walks (in a nearby Nature Preserve), and running errands (before the parking lots gets plowed). And, if this isn't enough, I get complements on how nice they look!
We love to hear that! We're grateful for your feedback.
Way oversized compared to Moab 3 Hiking Shoes!
I own a 1.5 year old pair of Merrell Moab 3 hiking shoes that fit verry nicely in 11 Wide. So I thought I'd try these Moab Chelsea Boots and expected the same size to be a relatively close fit, but I was very wrong. These things *slide* around on my feet like crazy. The openings at the top are huge, especially compared to a pair of Ariat Turbos that I was also testing. Even if the Merrell boots fit, I would likely have returned them if the opening was still that large because all they'll do is get dirt and debris inside them when wearing them with shorts. I'm done trying to order shoes and boots that are only available *online*. It just ends up being a giant waste of time returning them since companies don't bother maintaining consistent sizes between product lines of the same name.
Highly versatile slipon winter boot.
I have had two pairs and they are incredibly versatile. Will last 2-3 seasons of daily winter use before sole is worn down to a smooth surface. I use them for dog walking and snowshoeing. Typically include Yaktrax for the full winter season. I think traction is consistent with other brands (vibram sole). I find them to be effectively insulated, perfect for active wear. Waterproofing is reliable but a little shoe polish compliments the technical features to keep water out. Fit is perfect for active use, I did replace the inner footbed for more support.
Great boots!
I’ve had two pairs of the lace up version of these boots. Decided to try pull on. Awesome. Love that these come in wide, to fit my duck feet. Fit is perfect.
Great shoe for the price!
Very flexible shoes. I took them to the Galapagos Islands, and they held out very well on hikes, on boats and are attractive enough to wear out to dinner. They were perfect for the consistent rain in Ecuador. Very easy and convenient to put on. I'm very happy with them. My only wish is that they worked better with my orthotics. I fit my orthotic inserts very easily into all of my other shoes which are the same shoe size. Not in these. So, I just kept the original Merrill insert in. Totally fine, but maybe a little less comfort.
Functional Boots
I agree with other reviews that they can be difficult to put on., but I haven't felt like I was going to pull the pull-tabs off. If you're looking for an easy on/off boot for around the house, these are not it. I do think the snugger fit around the ankle and Vibram soles make these good for light-hiking. I have a pair of Keen Chelsea boots that I can put on standing up, but I wouldn't want to do a lot of walking in those. One weak point I foresee with these boots is the glued-on sole, especially around the toe. It just seems like it won't take long before the toe starts peeling away from the boot. I've only had these for a few days though, so we'll see. I got these on a discount, and for the price I paid I would say they are worth it. These are going to be my new daily wear boots.

Most of my shoes are Merrell only have one silp on
My only concern is will it stretch out over time since you can’t lace up
