Order a whole size bigger
Can't speak to their longevity yet or performance in different situation. However I wanted to note that sizing is drastically off compared to other xero shoes. I wear 11s in the prio shoe and the Xcursion fusion boot. Thus I order an 11 and it did not fit. They did not have 11.5s in stock so I tried the 12 and it fits perfectly 👌so be aware when ordering you should size up a whole size and not a half. Thankfully I went thru REI so the shipping was free and returned to store and exchange for a new order pair, as they do not stock these boots for some reason. Anyhow, for my purposes (slip on for when it's wet out or a little snowy) I think they will work perfectly. The leather seems of good quality. I have heard the butter sole performance in hiking situation can be questionable, but I will definitely be keeping this boot and when the time comes, I will take to a shoe cobbler to be re soled with better soles if need be. perfect for wide feet and the beginner minimalist
I have very wide, high volume feet and have been searching everywhere for a chelsea that fits. I tried some other minimalist brands, but Xero was the only one high volume enough for me. I'm a beginner with minimalist footwear, so my feet are more sore than usual these days. I can only go on short walks with my other shoes, but have been able to put serious mileage in these boots. they have a thicker sole and a flat gel insole, which is helping with the transition. (and of course you can remove that insole for a more barefoot feel.) I highly recommend!
Hiked seven miles in these and wore them to the bar last weekend. Good for me.
Great boots!
These boots are fantastic. Lightweight, but very well-built, and so, SO comfortable! Warm enough for cooler days, but also great for every day. I love the roomie toe box, the lack of heal lift, the excellent tread, and way the shoe fits like glove. Well done, Xero Shoes!
At least a full size too small
I’m pretty much a 12 across the board and these are WAY off. They feel at least a size too small with mid weight socks. I have 2 other pairs of Xero shoes and honestly it seems like in general they haven’t nailed down the sizing of their product. I’m committed to barefoot/zero drop shoes/wide toe box shoes but might have to start looking elsewhere.
get the right size
Nice boot, but I want to put it out there like others have. Not sized correctly. My big toe hits the end of the shoe and boy will that get old fast. Got to return them and try 1/2 size up.
