Danner  Skyridge Mid WP Boots - Men's

Really like these boots! I ordered the waterproofing bottle with these as winter was steadily approaching, and I’m glad I did. The suede has really help up so far to daily wear for about 6 weeks, with not much of a break in period. I love the Dark Earth color and the orange/black laces! The soles are stable, but not restricting and I really like the tread; just aggressive enough. My only gripe is that the laces are super long! I have to loop the loops around themselves just so the ends don’t drag on the ground. 6 weeks in and I’d say these replaced my former favorites for casual wear (Salomon GTX 3’s) I ordered these in a 9 based off the rec’s in the reviews and they’re perfect for my 9 1/2 usual feet.

Love these boots. They are super lightweight, comfortable, and look even better in person. Extra laces is nice too. Although these are great for hiking, they quickly became my every day shoe!

Very comfortable, even during break in! Love the stability and traction while keeping enough trail feel to keep confidence high!

I've had these boots for a couple of years, but I only wear them in the Fall/Winter, and even then, maybe twice a week. They don't have many miles on them at all yet. They are comfortable for paved walking, but not great for rough terrain. I use them mostly as inclement weather sneakers. And that's why I was so frustrated to discover that they aren't waterproof. Maybe they were at one time, but it didn't last, and they only have the equivalent of about two months worth of daily wear on them. I'm pretty disappointed.

After I ordered the first pair and wore them to work for a day, I came home and ordered a second pair to have on standby. That really tells you all need to know. They’re really comfortable with good ankle support without being rigid and a medium-wide toebox so not too square but also not too narrow. Two sets of laces come with the boots so you can choose brown or orange. Great material and well made with mid soft treat with excellent grip without a hard or squeaky sole. They look great with jeans or work pants and match with everything. It’s a great do-all boot that looks great with all the benefits of a boot but the feel of a sneaker.

I am a big fanned fan and have been wearing their coyote full bore for the past 4 years. I decided to try something new and bought the sky ridge dark earth because they look sweet. Since day one I have been a little disappointed. The worst part is the breathability. I wear my boots for 12-14hrs/ day. The sole is pretty flat and does not seem to move well with the arch of my foot. I have wide feet but this shoe seem pretty narrow and my feet hurt every day. I work and play in my boots and need them to be adaptable to my surroundings. Probably just the wrong shoe for me. Still a danner fan, but I have not been happy about this purchase

I have been wearing Danners for well over a decade (professional and leisure) and this is the first pair that I have not enjoyed out of the box. Where the tongue meets the shoe it makes a mass of fabric and just digs in to my ankle (both feet). I am very disappointed because otherwise I really like the boots. I am a walking Danner advertisement with all my other Danners, but not this pair!! I’m hoping I can alter them somehow.

I bought these because they seemed like a cheaper version of the danner mountain 600. I planned on using them for casual wear. The insole didn't provide any cushion and the outsole was way harder than the mountain 600. Also, I was getting quite a bit of discomfort around the top of the boot - very stiff. I returned them. I really like the mountain 600 and I bought a pair of the danner slip ons that I like. But, these weren't up to that standard.

I had a pair of jags, they are comfortable and fit really well on my feet. I bought these in the same size. They were definitely too small. Sized up a half size. Now they are correct, but the over fit is just way less comfortable than the jags. The footbed has like zero arch support. It’s like walking on a block of wood. The top of the toe box wraps too tightly around the top of the foot. I expected jag comfort. Not even close. They are also super hot. I’d only wear them in mid 50 degrees or less. Very disappointing for the price - they fit like a generic shoe from a big box store or something.

5'9" / 183lbs / Size 10.5 Having worn these boots daily for about two months now I feel comfortable writing a review for them. Initial fit was excellent right out of the box without any break in. I did notice some digging at the base of my toes when bending my foot to the maximum amount of movement, but it has stopped since the boot broke in more. Looks are even better than the images and they just continue to get better looking as I break them in. They are by far my favorite boot. I plan to pick up a few back up pairs just in case they decide to stop producing them. DON'T DO THAT DANNER!
