Danner  Forest Chukka Boots - Men's

After more than 25 years of wearing US made Danner boots I thought their casual footwear would be the same. They’re not. These shoes are what I would call “factory seconds”

I bought the same shoes two years ago. They were soft leather with almost no break in. These ones are much tougher. They also are wrinkling easily. The leather is a bit botched two with little dark spots everywhere. Overall I will continue to break them in bc the quality is still high. They just don’t have that smooth soft feel like I expected. Maybe this new style is intended or maybe my batch was off. These are my fourth danners

My husband absolutely loves these chukka boots. He took them on our vacation to New England as his only pair of shoes & they worked perfect for light hiking, all day city walking & going out in the evenings. He was especially pleased that they held up great in the pouring rain & dried quickly. He's very happy with them.

It fits well, no break in. It's light enough for 8hr everyday use. The bottom is grippy enough on light snow. Great product.

I really love these boots. This is my second pair in the last 6months as the first pair had some stitching issues that was under warranty. I’m giving it a 4 star as both pairs the shoelaces have started separating within the first few weeks (the inner parts start looping out). I also have noticed my second pair is the same size as the first pair but fit just a tad bit larger.

This thing is a cross between a Converse All Star and a house slipper with awesome quality materials and build. PU and Nubuck, not EVA and suede. Very light and flexible. Not a wavy stitch or loose end with reinforced stitching everywhere appropriate. It would be easy to dismiss it as just cheap until you take a close look. For me it's a travel (almost constantly,) store, bar and grill shoe. A great driving shoe.

I’ve had these boots for a couple weeks now and love them! They are comfortable and didn’t have a ‘break in’ period. I bought these to wear at work in a business casual setting. They are nice enough to wear as a semi-dress shoe but seem sturdy enough to be doing outdoor activity. Since they are leather, they do get a little hot on the toes in warm weather, but they surprisingly keep cooler for a leather shoe. The only thing that would make this perfect is if they made a wide size. My feet are a little bigger and a little extra space would make these perfect shoes. I can tell the sole is glued on and not stitched, so I’m curious to see how well it holds up with light to moderate wear on a daily basis.

Just received the shoe and love it. The shoe is super light and the leather is very supple and reminds me of the soft suede that Birkenstock sandals use. Looking forward to getting some use out of them. I ordered a pair in the Timberwolf color (appears to be green) and one in the Bracken (brown). When I received the shoe the Timberwolf color was way off. It's more of a dark khaki color. The Bracken shoe resembles more of the Timberwolf shade where it is brown with green tones. I am returning the Timberwolf due to how light the shoe is and keeping the Bracken color. Thanks, Danner!

I love that they are all leather and unlined. They are lite weight and very comfortable. Good everyday shoe. The sole is a little light weight. Can fill rocks through them. As long as your just wearing them in town they are perfect. They are my go to shoe for every day use

These are my all around go too shoes on the farm. Light, comfortable and sturdy.
