Nice added bonus... they give you a little extra height. Only minor thing... like most boots, they felt a bit stiff at first, but nothing unexpected and they loosened up quickly. Does mark up fairly easy, ideal if you like the patina, less ideal if your using these boots for a formal occasion . I give the boots a solid 8.5 out of 10.

I'm not hiker, climber, anything like that. but I do go on LONG LONG walks, even in the harsh winter months we get here in the Upper Lower Peninsulaf of MIchigan. these boots are just what I need to venture out into the cold. I am a diabetic so I get cold much more easily, I prune easier. But these boots are nice and snug and hold in the heat. i love the ortholite footbed particularly, which is especially nice for someone like myself , that has diabetic feet issues.
