Love the colour. Light feel and comfortable. Running seems easier.
I’ve fallen in love with this shoe, especially for faster runs and intervals! The responsive, rockered sole really shines when you pick up the paces. LOVE the dialed-in fit of the breathable, just forgiving enough upper. I have a slightly narrow heel and lower-volume foot. These lock in my heels and mid foot, and the toe box is just wide enough without feeling sloppy. My husband has a wide foot with high arches, and the men’s version works well for him, so I think the upper has just enough “give” to accommodate different types of feet. I really hope Brooks doesn’t change anything about this shoe with the next version!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This shoe works perfectly as a speedy training shoe for longer distances. I found it to be very well cushioned and it provided a great springiness that reduced leg fatigue. It does a good job for neutral strides but I could see it handling slight pronation as well. It is a bit stiff in order to give that springiness, but was comfortable for both short and long runs. As a non-professional runner, I think this would be ideal for race day as well as training. A great shoe that will work as a primary shoe for most runners, especially those who do longer distances. Highly recommended!
I have really struggled to find good "speedy" shoes because I don't vibe with a speed roll/rocker or a carbon/nylon plate. I initially bought the Hyperion Max as a long run shoe, but after 1 trial run, they became my new go-to for workouts and races. In these, I get a natural energy return that doesn't work against my (admittedly wonky) gait, and I feel fantastic at the end of a hard effort. I've done a 5 and a 10 mile race in them -- PR'd in both! -- plus workouts in the 7-18 mile range, for ~100 miles total so far and they still feel fresh. I'm hoping to get at least another 100 out of them and use them as my marathon shoe at the end of the season!
Having a collection of running shoes, many plated max cushioned, I was not sure this shoe was going to work for my 60 year old knees (have been running over 40 years). I read/watched many reviews before purchasing. Many said that they were skeptical like me at first, however glad they tried the Hyperion Max shoe. The DNA Flash foam does seem firm at first, however softens and conforms to foot once warmed up. I live in Arizona so not sure how the mid-sole will respond in cold climates. The upper stretches nicely to accommodate and secure the foot. Out sole grips well and appears durable. Definitely wear this shoe more than expected. Good purchase.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using Brooks since last few years but these Hyoerion Max are most comfortable shoes I found ever for running and walking. These shoes are very light weight, the upper part( toes) of made of textile material with mesh detailing for breathing. On heel side it has light cushioning on heal collar which is plus for me. From inside I feel shoe sole well cushioned to give support to my arch and heels. I run around 3 miles in a day on road/path and rough roads and these shoes provide a good grip and stride to complete my training.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a casual runner - running 10-15 miles in per week on average. These shoes are lightweight, and the fit feels great. They hug my feet just right. The sizing seems to be spot on. The shoes aren't heavily cushioned, but absorb my strides nicely. When I first took them out of the box I thought the sole looked a bit unusual - It looks like styrofoam. However, I think this is what makes this shoe so unique and so incredibly light weight. I love the weightless feeling on my feet while running. The design is well thought through. I really love the flat, textured laces which hold their tie well. I don't have to stop and tie the laces often like I do on some of my other running shoes. So far, I haven't found anything I dislike about this running shoe!
I love how lightweight this sneaker is. And it’s so comfortable!!!! Right out of the box the comfort level is 10 out of 10! My only gripe is, the tongue on the left sneaker is slightly longer than the tongue on the right sneaker!!! While it doesn’t affect the performance it certainly is not aesthetically pleasing every time I look down at it. My husband says I am probably the only one who notices it, and he’s probably right but it still bothers me. I’ve owned numerous Brooks sneakers and never have had this issue. I still have it 5 stars because it is by far the most comfortable, bouncy and cushiony Brooks I’ve owned so far!
Not exactly running happy. Running ok at best. I picked up running over the summer and was looking for shoes that would make running not suck so badly. Hyperion Max are super light and supportive shoes. I tried the Hyperion Tempos and those definitely made my feet hurt without even going outside. The Max felt better and I was able to train and run half marathon with these shoes. I noticed that the soles are starting to wear and that seems awfully quick considering I’ve only had for 2 months. In terms of the running experience, my feet and knees hurt and not sure if can attribute to the shoes or this is just how it is.
I bought 2 pairs of these, 1 for work and 1 for exercising. My workouts have a lot of lateral motions and I do not like these for that. The cushioning is lacking at the toe and sides of the feet. My feet move too much and are hurting after wearing them for exercise. The heel however has amazing cushioning. I am returning the pair I bought for exercise, and still trialing the pair I got for work. They seem to be better for forward motions like walking and running. Still could have better cushioning at the toe and sides. This is my first pair of Brooks that I’ve been disappointed with and I’m on like pair 15.
