Blisters—too hard

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So sad these didn’t work out for me bc I was so excited about the color. I got the sensation of blisters coming in on the inside of my arch after a 5 mile run and then on my second run the blisters came in and were angry at mile six and had to do the rest of my 18 mile run with blisters. They are much harder too and I was also getting toe pain towards the end of my run. I decided to return them because my regular glycerin did not do this to me at all.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The only brand I wear! Best shoe for 12 shifts as a nurse. Stylish and super cute. Get a lot of compliments. Weight-bearing exercise. Brooks really understood the assignment with these shoes.

Major downgrade from the original

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've tested out and wanted to buy the OG, but could not find them in-stock in my size, so I figured these would be similar. However, these are definitely a different shoe. For a max cushion shoe that I wanted to use as a recovery/long run shoe, they felt very stiff and heavy and could not put more than 0.5 miles in it without having major arch-pain. The rocker also felt like it got moved farther forward making it less effective for me. Usually I can relegate a shoe I don't love for easy runs or even just walking, but I think I will have to trash these almost-new shoes.

Not what I expected. Disppointed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These lack the cushion that made the original Glycerin Max appealing. Also, the toe box is more narrow than the original. These are first impressions, but I already have concerns after trying them on and walking around the house. I think I will be returning these. Super disappointed, as I was hoping to break these in before a big race at the end of December. Also, I pre-ordered these and bought them on blind faith that Brooks would come through with a better version of the Glycerin Max.

Great Shoes, Try it for yourself

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Comfortable, and feels better after a little break in. Like this second version better than the first! Got a pair and felt too narrow and harsh, returned then saw a pair in stock in store in different colors and tried again and this time gave it more of a wear and break in time.. Just had to give it a chance, and it didn't disappoint. Thanks Brooks!

Might be the perfect shoe...

Gave 4 stars because the shoe feels like it'll be a perfect shoe once I get the right size. It was a tad short in toe and the top of toes felt restricted somewhat. Going up a half size to see if that remedies it. I really hope it does because the shoe underfoot feels supportive and comfortable without being "so cushioned" (meaning sinking and your feet have to work harder and get sore) like previous versions. Great looking shoe and the grey and pink is a nice color combo.

My new favorite!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the Glycerin Max 2! I have been a fan of the Glycerin Max for a while now—this is my 4th pair in the Glycerin Max family! I have also worn the Ghost Max, Max 2, and Max 3. This is my favorite. I need the cushioning but don’t like to feel like I’m unbalanced or bouncing. These provide the perfect amount of cushion, comfort, and stability. I wore my last pair of Glycerin Max in a half-marathon. Looking forward to doing the same in these!

Don't buy them

If ur on the fence about buying these like i was, learn from my mistake. Don't buy them!! I normally wear Gylcerins, but really wanted to try the Max. First week felt great! Like running on a cloud. Unfortunately running on a cloud will DESTROY ur ankles. Ive had to wrap & ice my ankles & feet for the last 2 weeks thanks to these bad boys. I switched back to my regular Glycerins, but geez they did some damage!

Brooks Glycerin max shoes

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very well made, comfortable shoes. Ordered my normal size and is a correct fit. Stylish good looking shoes. My legs, feet, shins and calfs feel better. Love these shoes, would buy them again when these wear out. However that may be a long time coming due to the quality of these. I may never wear them out.
