[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a long distance runner and normally use Hokas/Adidas/Nike/Saucony/New Balance for long runs. It’s been awhile since I bought a pair of Brooks (prefer their older styles) and figured I’ve give these a try. I recently ran both a 5k and half marathon in them and could tell a difference from my other choice of running shoes. While these are cushioned, they feel on the heavy side to me. I don’t really get a springy like feeling wearing these when I run. They are comfortable, good for a 5k, but don’t recommend doing a half in them as I felt a bit worn due to the heaviness of the shoe. I like the springy feeling you get with running, and this misses the mark. I don’t plan to do anymore long runs in these. I will say these are great for walking and good shoes for being on your feet all day. No knee, skin, or foot pain. Maybe they are good for short runs but I don’t like the “chunkiness” and heavier weight to them. I will stick with my Adidas/Nike/Hoka/Saucony/New Balance for my longer runs. The concept is nice, but misses the mark.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So sad these didn’t work out for me bc I was so excited about the color. I got the sensation of blisters coming in on the inside of my arch after a 5 mile run and then on my second run the blisters came in and were angry at mile six and had to do the rest of my 18 mile run with blisters. They are much harder too and I was also getting toe pain towards the end of my run. I decided to return them because my regular glycerin did not do this to me at all.
Love these shoes. They give me the cushion and support I need to run.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love these shoes. The cushioning is amazing. Awesome running shoes!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Huge fan of the Glycerin line and this one doesn’t disappoint. A little more flow than the original max with the same great cushion. Love it for my recovery and easy runs
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've tested out and wanted to buy the OG, but could not find them in-stock in my size, so I figured these would be similar. However, these are definitely a different shoe. For a max cushion shoe that I wanted to use as a recovery/long run shoe, they felt very stiff and heavy and could not put more than 0.5 miles in it without having major arch-pain. The rocker also felt like it got moved farther forward making it less effective for me. Usually I can relegate a shoe I don't love for easy runs or even just walking, but I think I will have to trash these almost-new shoes.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Best running shoes . The first ones were great but these are amazing . 100% recommended for runners
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Much improved from the Glycerin Max (1). I tried and returned the first edition but these have been perfect. I’m currently navigating running in a much heavier body after kids and these absorbed so much of the extra impact and have been incredibly comfortable. Unlike the first edition though they do not feel like heavy boats on your feet. They still have a bit of a rock forward and smooth feel. Honestly I find these to be perfect for those needing to relieve the impact of pounding. These are great for everyday runs and long runs. I would say if you’re looking for a walking shoe this may not be it and the Ghost Max would be preferable for walking. As in all running shoes I sized up half a size from my daily shoes and they fit perfect.
I loved my glycerin Mac originals. They were so comfortable and absorbent that they quickly became my favorite shoe… My everyday shoe. So when the glycerin max twos were released, I knew I wanted to get a pair. I loved the look and color of the pair I chose, but the moment I put them on and stood up I knew that the cushioning was not the same. I was fairly disappointed because it was not what I was expecting. I probably won’t buy another pair if they don’t have the same absorbency as the original glycerin Max.
