[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wore the Revel 8 white sneakers for long walks—sometimes over an hour at a time—and even added a weighted vest to the mix. Honestly, they held up really well. The fit is snug but comfortable, and they didn’t rub or cause any hotspots, even with the extra weight. Super lightweight, which I didn’t expect with how cushioned they feel. Design-wise, they’re clean and minimal—easy to wear with anything. I like that they don’t scream “workout shoe” but still function like one. The all-white look is sharp, though obviously you have to stay on top of keeping them clean. The fabric is breathable, which helped a lot on warmer days. It has some stretch to it, but it still feels supportive. No issues with durability so far, even after a few intense walks.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Brooks knows how to do it when it comes to shoes. I’ve worn these shoes for about a month now and they are a great shoe overall. Regarding the style, I’d have multiple people stop and ask about the Revel8’s. The all white design compliments everything, and the mesh material is nice for those hot days. I’ve worn these as a daily casual wear, I’ve hiked, ran, and walked long distance. They’ve been very comfortable overall. My favorite thing about these Brooks is the all white design, because they are so versatile. My only complaint is the tongue on the shoe isn’t wide enough. It slips back and forth and I wish it was a little wider and taller. They do get dirty pretty easily, but seem to wash up great. I hope they hold up as much as they have so far.
I'm rating these 5 stars because I've never worn a shoe this comfortable in my entire life. It had become impossible for me to find a shoe that didn't cause my feet to be in a lot of pain. No pain at all in these! It feels like walking on clouds. I am so grateful for these. If I had any complaints, it would be that I have to tie them very loosely, because they feel way too tight if I tie them how I would usually tie shoes. And the tongue moves to the side a lot, so I'll try lacing the shoestrings through the little slot on the tongue to see if that helps. But, these complaints are negligible. These are wonderful shoes, and they have really changed my life.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The earlier versions of the revel are my go to sneaker so thought I would try the 8 version. So disappointed as this is nothing like the earlier versions. The heel is hard, too high and cuts into the skin. The lace area is pointy and not wide enough. With very redesign Brooks continues to ruin what was a great sneaker that used to provide perfect stability. Do the designers ever read the reviews. No option but to return this sneaker. It's so disappointing to love a sneaker only to have Brooks destroy is in the process of trying to redesign it. Stop constantly trying to change the sneakers. Design new colors but leave the structure of the sneaker alone.
Nice, springy shoe that helps propel you forward on a walk or light run. Not too much arch support, might not be great for high arches. I have several other Brooks that are better in this regard but I always come back to the Revels because the sole doesn't protrude from the shoe itself - walking down stairs with large foam soles (Glycerin) sometimes catches on stair treads and can trip or cause instability. I would rather go with a shoe with in-line sole that doesn't trip me but doesn't have as much support than go with one that has better support but I can only use when walking or running flat. Would love to see these available in a Wide! Also, the Revel shoelaces are a tad too short, maybe that extra inch would help - have to retie mid-day on each wear. I have these in the orchid color, really beautiful neutral color. These are still my go-to shoe for the sole, but sometimes my feet get a little numb after a day walking in them.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pros: 1. The fit of the shoe is snug and has a firm yet very comfortable sole. The shoe is a nice balance of cushy but with firm support. The firm but soft fit of the shoe is my favorite aspect of the product. 2. The fabric used in the shoe is very soft and breathable, great for running. Cons: 1. The style of the shoe is sleek, however, the all white/grey coloring leaves it bland compared to other running shoes. If I could change anything, i would put some vibrant colors on the shoe.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Brooks Revel 8 is a versatile, comfortable shoe that fits true to size and feels great right out of the box. The cushioning strikes a nice balance—soft enough for everyday wear and light runs, yet still responsive and supportive. The sleek, minimalist design is a standout feature, making it easy to transition from a workout to casual wear without skipping a beat. The breathable knit upper molds comfortably to the foot and keeps things cool even on warmer days. What I love most about the Revel 8 is how adaptable it is—it looks good, feels good, and performs well for a variety of activities. If there’s one thing I’d improve, it would be adding a bit more cushioning or arch support to make it more suitable for longer runs or extended wear. Overall, it’s a great go-to shoe for anyone who wants both function and style.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I cannot think of a single thing I dislike about these shoes. I was expecting them to be a little on the small size and need to have a half size bigger, but they weren’t. I put them on and immediately felt like they were so comfortable. I did not realize how uncomfortable my current shoes were until I just went for a walk in these. The color combination is perfect for a neutral look. The fabric is breathable but has enough structure to where putting them on my feet is not difficult. I also feel like my feet are very much supported throughout the bottom and yet they allow space by the toes. The fit feels amazing. I worry about their look after a lot of wear because they are white. Having said that, if that’s the most critical thing I can say…. That’s probably a very good sign. I truly feel like I found the shoes my feet love to be in for the miles I put on them everyday.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These shoes are great. Very comfortable and fit so nicely and true to size. When I first put them on, I was nervous since they seemed so low cut, but that hasn’t been an issue at all. I guess my previous shoes were just higher and they just felt different initially. The toe area has plenty of space as well. Sometimes I wonder if it’s a little too much pace though because there is one area on just one of the shoes where the front of the toe bed dents in. Most people probably wouldn’t notice this though, so it’s not that big of a deal. The design of the shoe is very sleek. I usually am not a fan of neutral tones for my shoes, however, I really do love the color of these shoes and how they go with pretty much everything. The fabric is nice and seems like they would clean easily if they get too dirty for my liking. Overall, I love how comfortable and supportive these shoes are for my workouts!
I've owned many pairs of Revel over several iterations. I'm a neutral runner who doesn't like more than an 8 mm drop, and I prefer to have some ground-feel. I excitedly awaited the release of the 8 when I saw they were switching back to the 8 mm drop vs. the 10 mm drop of the Revel 7. Unfortunately, the sole has no energy return and feels stiff and unforgiving. This makes it feel like a cheaply made shoe that is designed as more of a walker than for running. I'm returning these and will find another pair, but I'm probably done with the Revels in the future, which is extremely disappointing because previous versions felt like a great balance between a comfortable ride and not breaking the bank.
