[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a recent mom of two, I was looking to get back into jogging/walking and found these shoes. When these arrived, the colors were even prettier than expected! The fit is true to size. There is a lot of cushion and at first I wasn’t sure I liked it, but the more I ran and walked in them, the more I grew to love the soft cloud like cushion that helps propel you forward. I recently wore them on a walk with friends and got so many compliments on how pretty they were! I now love wearing them out and about on errands or the zoo with the kids since they’re so comfortable and stylish. Overall, a great find and my new go to shoe when I’ll be walking a lot or running!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Hyperion Max 3 running shoe is a great running shoe! It took me awhile to get used to how high the soles are, they boost my height another 1.5-2 inches. I am used to a more flat shoe typically, so it took a bit to be able to walk normal. Once I did get used to the sole thickness and curve I loved them! The curve of the sole ensured you get full use of your movement and momentum when running. I also walked in them some, and it did feel a little strange. They are definitely made for running. I am more of a light runner, but when I did some sprints they were great for that as well! Overall a great shoe once you get used to them and I would consider purchasing again!
Other than that this is an obviously beautiful shoe, it’s a complete disappointment after the perfection that was the Hyperion Max 2. Ridiculously narrow toe box, impossible to maneuver laces, ultra tight sock-like opening. It’s like they made a shoe for a praying mantis instead of a human. After squeezing my foot in, I made it exactly 3 houses down the street before I realized my foot bones would shatter if I kept running. And I can’t even size up to fix it because I had at least a half inch extra in front of my toe. PLEASE FIX THIS SHOE. Bring back the fit of the Max 2 please!!
I have about 175 on my pair so far, and they seem to be holding up well. I would imagine these lasting 350-400 miles for me. I’ve used them for long runs, tempo runs, and speed work on the track and they’ve been good for everything. They are fairly light even with the thick midsole and the DNA gold gives provides responsiveness when running. I haven’t had any stability trouble with the thick midsole. I do really like the cushioned portion of the upper under the laces as this really helps prevent lace bite. The pull tab on the heel is a nice feature as well. I would buy again and would love to see more colorways in this model.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just started getting back into running after years and decided to try this. I was so pleasantly surprised by how light and soft and comfortable the shoes are. Running shoes have improved a lot in recent years. The color combo is fun and it was easy to clean. I used to sweat in normal sneakers in summer heat but didn't have any issues with the max 3! These are my go to shoes as i try to get more in shape!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The design doesn’t seem particularly trendy, although I do like the color scheme. I’m not a fan of the sheer top of the shoe, both visually and practically, but the breathability is great. These shoes are also practically form fitting at the top. They’re easy to slip on, and have laces just in case you need extra security. At first this excited me, but by the end of the day I had some mild indents on top of my feet. Those might have been caused by the laces, as the tongue is quite thin. The soles are springy and comfortable, but the tips of these shoes have little shock absorption. This put some stress on my knees, which have recently taken a turn for the worst. I felt especially sore in the knees when pushing weight onto my toes or climbing up and down stairs. I definitely don’t recommend these shoes for all day wear or if you have knee problems like me, but they should be perfectly serviceable on a run.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These shoes are very comfortable! My first pair of Brooks and am impressed. I wore them around my house for the first day to make sure that I liked them and from the second I put them on my feet I knew they were great shoes. They do have a tall sole but a ton of cushion. I am not an experienced/expert runner, but I have started training for a race in the beginning of August and these shoes are great! The fabric is a lightweight and breathable mesh material, the fit is great and runs TTS (I’m a 6.5 in women’s). No rubbing or irritation on the back of your ankle or on your small toe, which is a huge A+. I would recommend these shoes and when they are worn out I’ll be purchasing another pair!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ll admit. I’m not as big of a runner as I used to be. In the past, I’d be running every day, going to CrossFit classes, and just about everything in between. Now at 35 having just had my first baby, workouts and activity look very different! This is my first pair of Brooks and I tried on them in a whim. I was seeking comfortable running shoes that I wouldn’t have to replace in a year. I wanted something bright and fun, light on my feet, and designed for running. Although I’m running 2 miles tops now at a time, I’m often using the jogging stroller to take my daughter for jogs and walks. Having these sneakers really makes it so much better. I can’t believe how comfortable they are and it literally feels like I’m walking on a bouncy and light cloud. I love the breathable and stretchy fabric and the chunky platform-y soles. I feel like a cool mom for sure, haha! Again, I got these on a whim and it definitely won’t be my last time buying Brooks. I’m eager to get a more casual pair for every day!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have tried other running shoes for faces and this is my first pair of Hyperion Max 3s. First, I LOVE the knit material and how easy these shoes are to slide on. I am currently in my third trimester and it is so hard to bend over to put on shoes, but these slide right on and stay on. The fit is exact to size. I never got blisters and didn’t need to “break them in.” The shoe is more of a knit fabric which is PERFECT in the summer because your feet stay cool. I haven’t ran though in wet conditions so I don’t know how the material holds up in water. However, since the fabric is so breathable, I’m sure feet would dry out fast. The sole the show is very thick and well cushioned, which really helped my knees. My only complaint is that since the sole is so cushioned, you don’t feel the road beneath you as much so you won’t feel bumps in the road which threw off my balance my first time using them. After that though, I was used to it and adjusted. Overall, great running shoe and I definitely recommend them! ld you change?
Hopefully this hyper specific review helps someone! I wanted to love these but they just didn’t work for me. I have high arches and over pronation, and am currently training for a marathon. For my first couple runs in these, the shoes were so tight and the laces so short that I could just barely double knot them. Eventually, they loosened up and from miles ~25-75 these were great. After 75, things started going downhill and by mile 100, they were so loose my feet were sliding around in the shoe making my over pronation worse, but I couldn’t tie them any tighter or they would hurt the top of my feet because of my high arches. All that said, the cushion on these is incredible and the transitions are a breeze.
