I love my old Ghost Max shoes, but I was ready to upgrade after wearing the soles down quite a bit over time. Unfortunately, while my first pair is in great condition, my new Ghost Max SE shoes have already developed several holes in the mesh area above the toe box. I have had them for so little time and distance that I am frankly shocked, as I’ve never had shoes I loved more than the original pair, but I’ve also never had shoes disintegrate on me like the new ones. Not sure if the pair was an anomaly or reflective of a change in the way they are made, but I certainly wish I could un-purchase. My older pair do not have the same mesh fabric on top.

Should have read the reviews before purchase...my bad!!

As many other runners have stated, this shoe really ran short! It was a bit "snug" but that's OK since I have narrow feet. Also, though the description mentioned running/walking, I was not prepared for the HUGE sole...both very thick AND lots wider/longer than my regular Adrenaline shoes. The sole was so much larger that it "hit" on the stair risers...I was afraid of tripping and falling so I returned the shoe. Really too bad because I ordered them for "everyday wear" and loved the color and style. Hoping for a SE in other styles that will include pink color or patterned soles like my old Revel with the leopard print soles!!

Nursing Shoes

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently had the chance to try the Ghost Max shoes, and I’m so glad I did! As someone who works long 12-hour shifts, comfort is my top priority, and these shoes did not disappoint. My feet stayed pain-free throughout the day, which is honestly a game changer for me. The design is also on point — the color is vibrant and eye-catching, and they look fantastic paired with my scrubs. I love how stylish and fashionable they are, blending well with my work attire. I also took them on a few walks along nearby trails, and I’m impressed by how well they’ve held up. Despite the varying terrain, the shoes provided great support and felt just as comfortable as when I first put them on. I’m genuinely happy with my experience and super thankful I was chosen to try these out. If you’re looking for a combination of comfort, durability, and style, the Ghost Max shoes are definitely worth considering!

1/2 size Smaller than normal

Definitely size a half size up. These are small. I’ve had two pairs in the past at 9.5 so ordered the 9.5 but needed a 10. They are ok and I’m keeping them but would’ve been more comfortable with a half size up. Also the gray leather toe is already worn looking and I’ve only had for about 3 weeks. Not my favorite pair for sure

Don’t recommend.

They run small but no matter how much you size up, then they’re too big so your foot slides forward and jams your toe. I’m usually a 9 in Brooks- sometimes 8.5 in some Hokas. Ordered 9, too small, ordered 9.5 and fit fine when not walking but when I walked, my foot slid forward and toes got sore from a short walk. I’ve had other brooks ghost max in the past but must have been a different model. I wouldn’t recommend these to my friends. I would however recommend my other, older pair of brooks ghost max. Love the purple suede color though so I was disappointed they are not a great shoe.

I love them, but they hurt and I don’t know why

I love the look of these, and I have been buying Ghost for years. I always buy a size 9 1/2. This is the second pair I bought this year. The other is a different color obviously. For some reason this Ghost is not fitting me properly. I seem to have enough room, and I use an insert as I always do because I. It’s hurting my toes, even though there seems to be room enough when I put than on them I find that my toes are sore after a few hours. I don’t know if I can send them back or not. I don’t want to because I really like them, but I just don’t understand what’s happening.

Such a cool shoe. Love how they look. I ordered my typical size 10, and my toe kept hitting the shoe. I had to buy 10.5 and it fits perfectly.

Bring Back the Original Ghost Max

I have purchased Ghost for years and then switched over to Ghost Max for the last several years. The original Ghost Max is the most comfortable shoe I have ever owned. I have worn all of my original Ghost Max shoes down and needed to update. Unfortunately it seems like when Brooks has a good thing going they change the shoe completely. The new Brooks 2 and 3 don't fit or feel the same. Way to tight in the toes, and the the heel is cut shorter and the back of my heel feels like it is going to slip out of the shoe. Bring back the original Ghost Max.

Not comfortable even after sizing up

I wanted to love these. They styling and lilac color are so cute but they just aren't comfortable because of my toes hitting the front of the shoe when I walk. I sized up too like everyone else suggested but they were still not as comfortable as other models. It's a shame too. Hopefully Brooks will listen and redesign them because I see I'm not the only one complaining about the fit.
