[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have several SmartWool shirts and love them, wool is so much better for travel and this shirt is great for that - very thin, and the pattern of the weave masks that very well (little to no underwear show-through!!), but it's still wool so doesn't get stinky and can get layered up from hot airport run to cold plane ride to hiking about. Only reason for not giving it 5 stars is that it's far shorter in length than any of my other smartwool shirts, and fits a bit baggier around the bottom. Match this material to your other shirt cuts and it's an absolute winner! I still prefer my other shirts to this one though.
I used only a small carry-on bag for a recent 3.5 week girls trip in Portugal. I took this v-neck top in both the black and teal color along with one other shirt for the entire trip. These worked well with the pant, shorts and skirts I also packed. I don't love the hem but it's a minor issue. The tops are casual, but they were fine for dining somewhere nice, dressed up with a pretty scarf. We walked at least 10 miles most days in very hilly areas and the tops did not stink. HaHa - I made my friends smell the shirt & it didn't stink! But I did need to wash them - and they easily air dried overnight. Bottom line - these are great & Smartwool should make more V-Necks for women.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The color (twilight blue) and fit is perfect! I have an athletic build with large-ish arms and ribcage. The shirt drapes in a flattering way and does not hug anywhere (5'7", 130#, size Medium). The 'lace' effect is visible in the fabric, but the shirt is not even a little bit see-through while worn. This smartwool shirt did it's job during a recent backcountry trip that required I wear it for 3 straight days. It didn't stink at all. I will say that the scratchiness-factor only become annoying to me at the end of the third day. This part is disappointing but I still give it 5-stars because 4.8 is not an option.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this shirt, very comfortable, breathable, great for sitting on a hot day, hiking on a hot day, or layering under whatever is needed for travel. Only con I can think of is that it loooooves attracting lint. I've had a few other wool shirts from you and other brands that don't do that quite as badly as this particular weave.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this and the ultralight shirt to give wool t's a try, and I'm pleased with both of them. This one is not as silky smooth as the ultralight, it has a little more body, but is still a pleasant non-scratchy texture. The Small fits well, not tight or clingy, and feels airy and comfortable in hot weather.
I own several Smartwool items and love them all, but this shirt is not comfortable. It's not itchy from the wool, but the material is stiff and rough. I'm hoping it'll soften with wash and wear. I got it for long travel days/flights, but doubt I'll wear it out of concern of irritating my skin. Disappointed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just purchased so can't speak to longevity yet, but I love that the shirt is lightweight and quick-drying, yet doesn't feel too thin. I also have another color, not in the lace. They are both great for hiking, but the extra bit of pattern/texture in the lace-style is really a plus.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wear this indoors, outdoors, as an underlayer and top layer. the "lace" effect is subtle, more like a jacquard or moire, and not transparent. So iot breathes even better than regular fine merino knits.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] the lace pattern is gorgeous and the light blue is not see through. this shirt is perfect for sunny days. I use this for workouts and running errands. it is soft and comfy.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this for an upcoming trip, and I haven't worn it yet. But the color and fabric are beautiful, and the fit is great. It's perfect for what I needed.
