Rab  Trek Gaiters

Really Poor - bought these ahead of a 5 day hike. Did the job on those days of keeping stones and mud out of boots. Was slightly surprised at the construction given the high cost - lightweight and relatively soft fabric for the price but have always had faith in the Rab name. At end of the week I noticed the frabric areas around the hard plastic loops on both had worn through showing holes. Can only assume this is a manufacturing fault given it’s appeared in both sets. Very disappointing given the high cost of these gaiters. Would post pictures but unable to on website.

Never used gaiters before. These are light enough for you not to know you are wearing them, entirely unrestrictive as far as movement is concerned and don’t twist, rustle excessively or fall down, something I had worried about - they stay put via good strapping and a lace clip. I don’t doubt these are waterproof and they formed a good join with my Merrell trail shoes, but the ultimate test - sinking into a bog up to mid-calf and my shoes staying dry - will have to wait, as will breathability (Epping for 4 hrs at around freezing wasn’t an ideal test of that); Certainly it is clear that wading through sodden knee-high grass would be fine (Pennine Way). I have confidence these will work well; 4 stars only because a full field test has yet to be conducted.

Good gaiter but the securing hook has been turned upside down from the old design. It makes securing the hook much more difficult and time consuming. The lack of a zip just exacerbates the hook problems. In short the gaiter design has been significantly changed and not in our opinion for the better. If I have realised the changes at the time of purchase I would not have ordered this item

Excellent. Easy to put on and take off with Velcro - no zip which is great. Been through a lot of mud recently with no leakage. Only reason for one star down is that although both velcro strips on a gaiter are equal length, when on your foot one side seems to be longer than the other which means it’s hard to join the two Velcro strips smoothly. It doesn’t really matter though.

Bought these to wear on the golf course when muddy. Much better than wearing waterproof trousers over the top. Excellent snug fit with great size. The elasticated part keeps them snug. Far less mud than wearing trousers. Wish I’d bought sooner.

Lovely gaiters super waterproof they stay on all day and kept my feet dry even after falling in several bogs

High quality gaiters. Snug fit around the boot which you need when walking through mud. Happy walker.

They are perfect i have wrapped them up as a Christmas present for my husband
