Never runs, smells great, + natural ingredients
I stopped wearing sunscreen a while ago as I really disliked all of the chemicals and I couldn't find a natural one that would stay on and work in the extreme conditions I surf in. This product nailed it. I've surfed in some of the most extreme elements with Raw Elements on and I'm always covered. I like the shea and cocoa butter in the product adds a nice moisturizing touch!
Disappointed with this product
Effective sun block but very hard to squeeze out of the tube, leaves a thick, visible film on the skin that is very difficult to rub out, and leaves hands and everything else you touch greasy.
Too thick
Cream is very thick and hard to spread. Leaves an overly visible white coating on the body. This may make it a good sun screen, but not good for applying or wearing out in public. Would not buy again; in fact threw away most of the tube.
Great product - a little elbow grease needed
Works well and has a good texture. My skin is sensitive and this didn't bother it at all and I (mostly) didn't get sunburned on Maui . Big deal Cons: smells like oil and also needs a lot of shaking or the stuff comes out separated (oil and other). It also doesn't wash off very easily but I think that's also why it works so well. Give yourself an extra scrub after you've used it I like that it's reef safe. I'd buy it again.
Not impressed
I thought this item was on clearance (at $10, not $19) so I picked it up on a quick stop at the store. It either wasn't on clearance or the system made a mistake because I was charged full price. When I opened it up to use, found out doesn't smell very good. Definitely would not buy $19 sunscreen, especially one this small that doesn't small good.
Greasy White Finish
I have yet to find a physical protectant that does not leave a greasy white finish. This one was no different. Its a good sunblock, just not anything special. It does go on nicely and smells good though!
Not great for sensitive skin
It’s a bit thick and oily going on, but it stays on and protects well. The only negative thing for me was that it made me breakout in certain areas where my skin is more sensitive. I wouldn’t personally use it again for this reason. But it might be ok for other people.
Awful
Pros: does indeed seem to block sun. Cons: thick, sticky, *badly staining!!*, smells strongly of thyme, visible /does not rub in, makes sweat bead visibly somehow. No idea why on earth anyone would buy this other than by accident, as I did.
smells like the beach, but not in a good way
After awhile it starts to have a fishy metal scent. Definitely not trying to smell like that, unless I’m trying to impress Ariel, which is not the intent of putting sunblock on. Waste of money.
Reef safe
Wanted to buy a reef safe sunscreen for a snorkeling trip. Difficult to apply and had a wet glue-like consistency on my skin. Worth it to save the reefs, though.
