Solid sunscreen. It leaves a white cast though, so if you are a melanated person you should be prepared to do a lot of rubbing in.

DOES NOT PREVENT SUNBURNS
Ewing
I spent the past two days climbing Mount Adams and trusted this product to protect me from the sun, especially since much of the climb is on snow and ice. I followed the directions, even over applying to avoid being burnt. It was almost like I was using no sunscreen at all! I was burnt after the first day and still had one day to go. This might be fine for some outside adventures, but do not trust this product if you are planning to spend a day or more in the mountains.

Great Sunscreen Stick

I like how small and compact the stick is, which makes it easy to carry with you while backpacking. It has a nice coconut scent that's not too strong/overpowering. It is expensive for the amount you get though. I used this on my hike to Big Pine Lakes and only had to apply it once. It doesn't go on smooth like a deodorant stick would. You just have to rub it on your face and then use your fingers to work it in so you don't walk around with a white face. Overall, I think it worked pretty well and the best thing is that it's not loaded with chemicals like other brands.

Sun Bum mineral spf 50

Sun Bum mineral spf 50 face stick is great. I have always used different sunscreens for face or body on my face in the past, which would always burn my eyes while swimming or sweating. Well not this face stick. It does leave a slight white layer on your face, which I don’t mind. I just make sure I run it into skin more to decrease appearance. The scent is different than past face sunscreen I’ve used. Only problem I’ve had is finding this product in stores, I have looked for a year with no luck. Not sure what took me so long to look for it online.

Clogs Pores

I was really excited to try something that would be natural but effective on just my face as I use Sun Bum on the rest of my body without any problem. My first disappointment was how hardened the stick gets. You have to practically scrape your skin with this for it to go on your face and neck. I get so red from stretching my skin out just by putting on sunscreen. Not fun. The second and perhaps most disappointing feature is that when I use consistently for a couple days my skin will break out in little white pimples called milia. Turns out that the sunscreen isn’t coming off when I wash it off at night even though I wash my face twice. I wish this product worked for me but I’m too picky to put up with this sunscreen’s beauty hazards.

Like Having Wax on Your Face

The sunscreen worked but it was like having a layer of wax on my face. My clothing would stick to my face and the sunscreen was really hard to remove after hiking every day. I hope I’ll be able to get it out of my clothes and puffy.

Nuclear Blast Protection

This was the stick I took on a 10day ride to the NC outerbanks from Greensboro. I used it on my face and neck and it was perfect for not being sticky or gooey. I never got any burn despite exposed riding in 100+°F heat for eight hours a day. I would apply in the morning and even with profuse sweat I never needed to re-apply during the heat of the day. It does make my already-base-tan complexion somewhat purple as do all oxide-based creams. But I'm not competing in any fashion shows at my age!

Favourite sunscreen

I have a mix of dry and oily skin with a bit of acne, so it’s not easy to find a sunscreen that’s lightweight, doesn’t leave my face oily nor too dry (some other sunscreens leave white dry patches where my skin is dryer)…But this is truly a game changer, the stick goes smoothly on my face and it feels great afterwards, this is truly the best sunscreen ever, and the price is incredible too! Also, the smell is a bonus, I love it, it’s subtle coconut

Mineral SPF 50 Sunscreen Face Stick - easy to use

I really prefer Sun Bum's SPF 50 Face Stick over their newest competitor (Freaks of Nature) because the "stick" is so much easier to apply and it fits well and lies flat within pockets. The other brand, while they have the right intent, has their version of a "stick" as a round cylinder and it also has an unpleasant smell which I think is coming from their plastic. Sun Bum forever!

It protects really well, so

It protects really well, so I like that. I like the stick application, too. I'm not crazy about how much I have to rub it into my face to not look white, though. I don't need any help looking pale, so the last thing I want to deal with it a white cast! I know zinc sunscreens are better for the skin, but next time I'm probably going to choose the original face sunscreen.
