These made my Winter runs a dream! I live in Northeastern PA and to say the roads are full of gravel and rock salt all Winter long is an understatement. Nothing gets into your shoe when you wear these. They are perfect. I am a size 8 1/2 but size up to a size 9 in running sneakers (I run in Brooks Ghost, Asics Nimbus, Solomon Speedcross). I ordered a medium in these and they are perfect. Some reviews state that their gaiters ripped or came apart. I wore mine hard all Winter long and had no signs or wear at all. Get these!!! You won't be disappointed.

I wear these with Vibram 5 fingers and no socks for hiking in the desert. Due to the small nature of my shoes and being sock-less, the first pair I ordered had to be returned and exchanged for the smallest size. They did cover the required area but still let sand and small rocks in. Velcro does attach and stays attached, but doesn't really align correctly.

Won't fit well and I have Speedcrosses

I cant get these to fit well no matter how I adjust them, I even tried to put them on backwards just to see. The flap/velco won't lay flush if I adjust them to be tight to my ankle, and if the velco matches up they are too loose at the top... I wear a size 7 speedcross, which is the shoe they are displayed on and got the size small.

Not great

If you use these as intended, they don't fit any shoe very well and don't do a very good job of keeping dirt out, but in my experience, if you put them on "backwards", it puts the bottom strap into the correct position, and creates a tighter seal around the forefoot better keeping debris from slipping in the bottom. The velcro closure is still clunky with lots of extra fabrick, but they fit and work better if you put them on backwards

Worked well but longevity a concern

First run with the Salomon gaiters and unfortunately they didn’t hold up to the rocky trails here. I typically run 21 km and noticed they started to peel apart at the rubber band that goes underneath the shoes. Little disappointed

Kept my shoes free of rocks

Excellent. Takes a little bit of working with to get them to fit properly but after you get it they hold secure. I used them on Mt Whitney and after the whole day and many miles I did not have one rock in my shoe. I also did not have any unusual wear on the base straps. The only negative thing I can say is I wish the top of the gaiter around the shin were a little tighter. I am not a small guy 5'11" and 230 and my legs are not small but there was a little to much space around my shin. They still held out rocks and dust but I think If it were a wet environment I would have gotten slightly wet. I did see a lot of reviews saying they fit poorly but I think people are not taking the time to get them to the right spot. I am very satisfied.

Not compatible with footwear without outsole arch

It literally says on the product "Compatible only with low-cut footwear designed with an outsole arch." So this is not compatible with e.g. the Salomon Thundercross. This is not mentioned anywhere on the product page as of this writing. Why not? It seems like a pretty important thing to mention...

Not enough. To tight and short

They are very short and very tight on my shoes. I got them so I could walk the dog in the spring with all the mud. I have the tall gaiters for the winter but they are to much for early spring

Rubber strap broke

The rubber strap that wraps around the bottom of the shoe lost a big chunk during a run. Only used twice. The trail was mostly dirt with some loose rock. Not very durable

Terrible design

I have looked at these for two years and finally pulled the trigger to use with my size 12 Salomon XA Pro 3D's. (note, I have 4 pair, then 3 other Salomon trail runners.) They aren't tight enough at the top (despite being at the size's upper range), the closure is clunky, with too much fabric overlap and welt such that they bulge out at the ankle, but worst of all is that the wide underfoot strap doesn't nest into the arch of the Salomon shoe snugly so it gets pushed back to the heel of the sole, covering the treads, making the sole grip less!
