Rated 5 out of 5 by from My DoubleNest's New Best Friend I've actually been using a cheap stand from my local department store for a few seasons now. Because it's sized to fit longer, spreader-bar hammocks, I've had to rig my ENO with some extra webbing in order to make it fit. When I saw that ENO was making a hammock stand specific to parachute style hammocks, I took the plunge. As one reviewer said, the construction is heavy-duty and feel very quality, much more so than any other hammock stand I've ever used. It set up in minutes using quick connect sections (nice!) and looks great on my back deck. It allows for a perfect hammock pitch and now I only have to take two steps out my back door to be in nirvana.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'm swinging! I'm in the house, and I'm swinging! Beautiful, well built design. It immediately replaced both my couch and my bed. Seriously. I'm an avid hammock camper, and I'd haul this beast to the beach or to a field where no trees are to be found to hammock camp without hesitation. It's heavy, but so what! It goes together and comes apart in a snap. The pieces will lay flat in my car trunk no problem. My ENO Double Nest fits perfectly, and I suspect my Hennessy Jungle Hammock will too. With a little ingenuity, I guarantee I can even string an acceptably taut rainfly on this thing. I'm sleeping in it tonight... in my living room. Yeah baby!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This was exactly what I expected. We made a lot of children very happy this weekend with this hammock stand! We have no trees at La Jolla Canyon group campsite and I wanted to bring my eno double hammock! This did the trick! It's 60 pounds. It's inconvenient. It doesn't come with a convenient travel case. They don't let you know the dimensions in the specs to enable you to buy one. OTher than that, it's beyond wonderful! Sturdy, beautiful, pretty easy to drag around! I highly recommend that you talk someone you know into buying this expensive heavy item and invite them to camp with you!!! Ha ha!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from "Portable"? I was so excited to get this hammock stand. It looks sturdy and attractive, and SEEMED to be portable. The box even says it packs down to the size of a "picnic basket". But I couldn't even wrangle the huge box it came in out of my car, so I opened it in my car to see how the parts fit and how it they would collapse into the size of a picnic basket. I don't know what kind of picnic baskets the people at ENO use, but each of the tubes in the stand is about 4' long. Portable? Maybe, especially if you have a large vehicle. The size of a picnic basket? No freaking way. I'm returning it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hammock with stand I received the hammock and stand as a Father's Day gift. It is the most comfortable and sturdy combination I've ever been in absolutely no complaints. The hammock can be stowed into itself to about the size of a cereal bowl or paperback book size maybe 8"x5". The stand breaks down and assembles quick and easy but your not hiking or camping with it it is to heavy and bulky for that. Perfect for the backyard or RV type camping or out of a truck. The stand breaks down to six 3" pipes about 3' long that join into two well built end pieces. If you want a hammock to relax around the pool read a book ect, get it you won't have any complaints except getting your turn in it as other family members and kids will be in it every time you try to get in it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product I just picked up one of these at REI Ann Arbor this weekend. I was kind of surprised to see it sitting there. They just got it in the store the day before. Already have it set up in the basement. Very easy to set up. All joints are snap in quick disconnects. Took longer to unwrap the tubes than actually setup. This is very heavy built like a tank. Tube walls are thick and comes with 2 D-Rings, 2 carbineers, and 2 extra quick disconnect springs/button for the tubes (nice touch ENO). Little on the expensive side but after feeling it, I understand why. I am a 300+ guy and sitting in this is just fine. Like I said built like a tank. Minimal flexing. Also easy to add a ridge line for the bug net if needed. Also easy to break down and transport. This will get lots of uses this summer. Worth the extra money. If the 3 person is the same, which I assume it is, then I might look at getting one of those too. Just don’t have the room right now.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great portable hammock stand! This is a very well made hammock stand, and is very stable on grass or other surfaces. Goes together by one person without difficulty also. I took it to my son's,and set it up. He now has one. It accommodates a ridge line, and bug net too. At 58 lbs you can pretty much bring it along with you.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Horrible paint job/quality contol missed this one! Was excited to get, but very disappointed in finished product. Notified REI immediately & have not heard from them until I recieved this email about a review. I'd return but frieght expense, & taking to closest REI three hour drive.

Will this stand work with a Kammok Roo hammock?

Asked by: mrstaffo
Bought this yesterday to use with my Roo. It works great if you tie a simple knot in both ends of the Roo before clipping them into the stand. So far have used it solo and with two people ~350lbs and it works perfectly.

What kind of rain fly would be best to use with this stand? Would one of the Eno rain flys (tarps really) be sufficient?

Asked by: rudyrudell
The ENO ProFly Hammock Rain Tarp would be a fine choice for the SoloPod Hammock Stand. https://www.rei.com/product/814104/eno-profly-hammock-rain-tarp

Can two of these be combined to create the ENOPOD 3-person?

Asked by: perfect77
There is no way to attach or combine two SoloPod Hammock Stands. If you are interested in a 3 person version, we suggest looking at the following: https://www.rei.com/product/895845/eno-enopod-3-person-hammock-stand

What are the folded dimensions? Does it come in a package that is reusable for storage and travel??

Asked by: 510 Adrenaline Junkie
The longest sections are 47" long.  It is not folding and unfolding.  You will be disassembling the stand.  Pretty easy but there is no case for it.

Can I use this stand with a Caribbean style hammock?

Asked by: Rutabega
As long as the hammock is similar in length to an ENO hammock, you are able to use this stand with a Caribbean hammock.
