Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great backpack - would recommend! I took this backpack with me for a 10 day trip to Northern Haiti. I packed just what I needed (I worked in a clinic and they had scrubs for me there) but this pack was perfect! Just the right amount of pockets and perfect strings here and there to carry extra stuff. Also the belt pockets for easy access -- love them. Overall 10/10 cute and great!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Clip broke with 5th use The strap that keeps shoulder straps in place surprisingly snapped the clip after only light use on short hikes. This isn't even a weight bearing clip ???? Going to exchange it for another pack, same brand size hoping it was just a manufacturer defect because I love this pack, it fits right, great pockets and fingers crossed on my second one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gregory Jade 38 Pack = Women's I selected this backpack because it was roomy and lightweight. It also fits well and is comfortable even on extended hikes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best pack I bought this pack almost 5 years ago, I lived out of it for almost four of them. It's hitchhiked across the country seven times and spent an extended time in the NorCal backwoods and is still going strong. I have a small frame, it holds everything I need without being burdensome on long hikes. Initially I was worried I should have gone with an osprey because of all the hype surrounding them but I'm increfibly glad I didn't, I'll be usingvthis pack for many more years to come.

Does the Women's Gregory Jade 38 measurements meet airline carry-on size standards?

Asked by: Sharman
Per Gregory, the dimensions are 25.5" x 13.5" x 9.5", 48.5 linear inches. The length of the frame is about 19" without the top pocket. If the pack is not filled to the top, it will be carry-on size. Please consult the individual airline for their carry-on specifications.

I am 5'0" and 61 years old. Will be hiking for 3 days and 2 nights. Hiking the Grand Canyon in April. Bedding and towels provided. Will be carrying lunch, snacks and water. What backpack do you suggest?

Asked by: pamela56
If you are only carrying lunch, snacks, and water, you may want to consider a smaller pack. A 20 liter pack may be the right size for you. does the "medium" size in this pack fit the same torso length as the "medium" in the unisex and mens' packs?

Asked by: abh8
This pack has the same torso dimensions compared to the unisex models with roughly the same gear capacity. The women's specific models will traditionally have an XS size which will be sized differently compared to the unisex models.

Are the straps/frame the same size as the 28L pack?

Asked by: Pamm
The harness is the same between the 28 liter and the 38 liter version of the pack and it does fit the same torso length and hip sizes.

Would this be appropriate for 10 day trek along Tour du Mont Blanc? I'm going on a tour that doesn't allow packs >40L and there is no camping involved

Asked by: Liz215
Yes, this pack is a smart option if it fits your torso and waist appropriately.

Is there a way for me to attach a sleeping pad outside the pack? I see there are not straps included on the bottom for that purpose.

Asked by: emily86
A pad can be attached vertically with straps or placed inside the external stuff pocket. We recommend purchasing straps separately if you choose strapping it; https://www.rei.com/c/sleeping-bag-straps
