Gregory  Paragon 60 Pack - Men's

I bought the Paragon 58 in 2019 and used it to hike the PCT. I had to exchange it twice because the straps started to detach. The main advantage is that you can put a bear canister horizontally compared to many other packs where they need to be vertical. It also carries more weight easier on your shoulder than ultra light packs. I decided to buy it again because of another hike with a bear canister. However, the latest version, Paragon 60, has been stripped of many small features, the most annoying are loops on the straps that I used to stow sunglasses, attach a phone pouch or my water bottle holder (for quick access, 700ml).

My wife and I were going to do some hut-to-hut hiking in Europe, so I needed a bigger bag to fit all of my stuff. After trying out various brands at my local REI, I went for the Gregory Paragon 60. It felt the best on my back and looked nice too! There is a lot of adjustability with the various straps and snaps, but once you dial it in for your body and the amount of cargo you're carrying, the bag is very comfortable and easy to carry around. Even though it's a size-60, you can definitely cinch it up to feel much smaller. This is a great bag--I can't wait for my next big adventure!

After using the Paragon 60L for a 5 day backpacking trip, I have to admit I'm very impressed with the functionality and performance for the pack. The pack was a huge part of the success of my trip. I would highly recommend this for anyone looking for an affordable pack that can do pretty much anything from longer treks with more weight to lighter weekend trips in the woods. My biggest note for new users is to take the time to fully adjust the pack, using the customizable features before heading out on the trail.

Great pack. I was able to carry 40 pounds over 4 days and 50 miles but the pack itself is 3 lbs which is kinda heavy for a pack. The side pockets were great for carrying my 1L smart water bottles along with my oversized knife and tent poles. My water filter system clipped onto the tabs provided on top

I am not a veteran backpacker, and I have not had the chance to really use this backpack hard yet, so keep that in mind. But I really like this backpack so far. I was worried it wouldn't fit since I am a big dude at 6'3", but it has plenty of adjustment for me. I am also a huge fan of the ventilated back panel which helps keep your shirt from getting swampy. If you enjoy occasional backpacking or want to get into it, this is a great option.

We bought this for my son as we got more into backpacking. This pack is versatile and handles his gear nicely. It isn’t unusual for him to strap the sleeping pad to the bottom of the pack. We use light gear, but definitely not all ultralight ultra compact gear. Durability is not a concern. I have a larger 80L pack and am considering getting this same pack for a more compact carry. I would say this pack could fit the bill for beginners and advanced users alike.

I used a couple other brands and tried on bags at a local outdoor store but found this one to be the most comfortable with 20-40lb loads. I am 5'9" and the S/M was the right size, I appreciate how the pack balances on side to side motions and it has all the space I need. The only thing I would have liked it to have side zipper access to the main bag but it's not a deal breaker as the bag is solid.

I bought this to replace my ancient Gregory pack and it was perfect in every way. It was comfortable, the suspension system was beautifully designed, as was the everything about the pack, and it held a surprising amount of stuff

This is the BEST line of backpacks on the market!! This is large, lightweight, fits my 81-year-old-brothers' back PERFECTLY (he's 5'10") with convenient zippered pockets on each hip. Everything fits. His tent, sleeping bag, clothes, food, and more. With a special water bottle compartment and rain cover. Don't hesitate - this is truly the best brand for comfort. A++

First impression, super light bag, box felt empty when I received it and that surprised me. Quality and versatility are worth mentioning. Still to go on my first hike but already love it! Adjustability is great and size is enough to carry gear for 3-4 days + external pockets fit bulky items. Side pockets are placed strategically and at comfortable reach.
