Rated 3 out of 5 by from Below the mark for Chaco I think this would be a great shoe if the toe box could be changed to a more anatomical shape, if the heel to toe was made neutral, and if the materials had even better breathability. As with your typical women's shoe that capitulates to fashion this shoe was designed to be too narrow in the toe box, and in spite of attempts at breaking in and even shoe stretchers, my little toes were crushed and achy after wearing these. On the other hand the shoe does seem like it's durable and would last for years, unlike many shoes out there these days. I do feel these shoes offer support that feels similar to my Chaco sandals, but the heel feels higher which seems unnecessary. I'd say the breathability is better than average but still could improve, since my feet often felt damp after wearing for hours.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from When a running shoe won't quite do... This is my fifth pair of Chacos, and I wasn't looking to buy another pair, but these were on sale, so I gave them a try! And I'm SO glad I did! My new go-to shoe! Feels just like a supportive running shoe, but has a bit more style so you don't look like the typical "tourist" when you're traveling. Easy to lace and I lace, and accommodates various sock thicknesses. My feet can walk all day in these and never feel tired--- which is rare because I have very "picky" feet! They want support and cushioning! These shoes supply both! I find I cannot go wrong with Chacos! Perfect shoe for active days as these will take you comfortably where you want to go!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really comfy These are very comfortable with good arch support (as is always true with Chacos). I got an 11 in the black. I wear a 10 in Chaco sandals and could have gone with a 10.5 in these but with heavy socks, I'm glad a got an 11. (I always wear at least a 1/2 size bigger in enclosed shoes than I do sandals, if that helps.) The black is more gray, pretty much like it looks in the picture. I work in a pretty casual environment so I can wear these to work. They are kind of a cross between sneakers and trail shoes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Always a win with Chacos Have been wearing Chaco sandals for years and love them, but needed something super comfy that looked nicer than my sneakers to wear to work. These are perfect. I wear a 7 in their sandals and got these in an 8. I have narrow feet but a lot of toe spread when I walk, and the toe box on these accommodates that really well for me [may not be true if your feet are wide or even average]. Also didn't need "break in" time for these [which I hate doing with new shoes], I put them on the first day and off I went! Very comfy!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not the usual support Not the usual support of Chaco brand. It feels like there is more support in the heel, and less in the arch, as other reviews have stated. Wanted to be sure, so purchased, but returning. Outer looks nice, and if you don't need that arch support, they may be great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Prevents tired feet I love these shoes so much! I wear custom orthotics in my shoes except when I wear Chaco sandals. These shoes are supportive enough that I don't need my custom orthotics. They have a wide toe box and really comfortable padding on the inside to prevent blisters. They are great for walking long distances in the city. I bought these to wear when traveling abroad and they are perfect because they don't make you look like a tourist.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good shoe This shoe is good if you have a wide foot. Big toe box. Looks good with jeans and dark pants. Feels like a gym shoe. Very comfortable to walk in . It is a light shoe no need to break in. Sold construction. Worth the money. I no longer buy cheap shoes. I am getting older and comfort matters. I have had planter fascitis and heel pain so I pay for comfortable shoes

Is the sizing of these the same as women's rafting style sandals? I love the support of my sandals and hate having to switch to shoes every fall. I can never find any athletic shoes that offer the same support, but just the right flexibility.

Asked by: ErBrophy
These fit similarly to how Chaco sandals fit. We recommend ordering the same size in these shoes that you would order in sandals.
