Merrell  Moab Speed 2 MJ SE Shoes - Women's

The fit of the shoe and the sole are both great. It is even comfy with my Morton's Neuroma I agree with the other reviews that mention the strap. It is not adjustable at all, it just happens to work for me so I am giving 4 stars. I have a size 8 and average width foot. There is 1 star off because the plastic attachment the strap runs through in the front of the foot digs into the side of your pinkie toe as you walk, and becomes more painful throughout the day. It is just tolerable and so I will keep them.

You guys do NOT KNOW WHAT A SIZE 5 IS. I have gotten great shoes from you, and I'm drawn because I can get Vibram soles, but I've bought size 5 boots from you that were actually size 6.5, and these Moab Speed 2 Mary Janes are more like a 7. I'm a size 4.5 woman, and sometimes I manage with your "big kid" shoes size 2.5, which generally are cheaper and use inferior materials. Sometimes I order a woman's 5 and get a woman's 5. I've bought so many pairs from you, but I swore to myself this time that I'm only going to buy from a shoe store. It's no fun being a foot-size minority, and it makes me obsessed with footwear (and with avoiding repetition of my shattered tib/fib at age 60), but I finally have realized that you really don't want my business.

Exactly what I was looking for in summer walking shoe. I wear an average, size 8 medium. These shoes fit well and are comfortable right out of the box. They are roomy and easy to step in and out of. The velcro strap is sized appropriately for me. It is needed to tighten the shoe so the fit is snug enough to walk briskly. These are very lightweight and airy, perfect for summer. I like the traction on the sole. There is enough support without the spongy feel of running shoes.

I am so disappointed in these shoes. These do not slip on and they are in no way adjustable. The strap is ribbon - completely non flex, with a very small velcro closure. I have a feeling that the length of the strap was not scaled up as the shoe size increases. I wear a 9.5, and I do not have a wide foot. Honestly, I could've even sized down to a 9. But once my foot was in, the strap was 2-3" too short. There would be absolutely no way to slide your foot into the tiny closure. When the strap is closed, the space between the two sides of the shoe at the top is ~1". Such a poor design, and I was so excited to wear these in spring and summer. They're much cuter than the salomon rx marie-jeanne, but at least those are adjustable!!

I’m surprised to see so many negative reviews - I love these shoes! I snagged them on REI clearance in a half size too big, but the deal was too good to pass up. That said, the straps work well enough for me so maybe the secret is to size up? Still it would be nice to have more adjustable straps so I’ll give them 4 stars. Overall though, I find these super comfortable and soooo cute!

I just got these in, true to size, i have a regular kind of narrower foot and i have good wiggle room. Mesh style allows for a super comfy and breathable shoe which feels nice around my toes. Planning on taking these to CDMX. I was expecting more cushion support, but no complains to how they feel with support and traction. Only concern is the lack of stretch in the top part, but I have no issues with the feel, plus its very lightweight and I just adjusted it with the Velcro length.

I love everything about this shoe except for the short strap. Merrell needs to extend the strap by 1/2” ands mail out strap extenders to those of us who already have the shoe. Other than this design oversight, the shoes themselves have decent foot support (I use a slim 3/4 insert because of high arches) and a decent toes box. My wide foot fits into the toes box even with thin wool socks.

I have several other Merrel styles that are great, but this one is totally going back :-( I love the look of them, but as others have noted, the top strap is too short. But the worst part is that my heel totally slips - have never had this problem with any other shoes.

Comfortable, but not for wide feet or thick feet. I have narrow low volume feet and the straps just accomodate my feet. If you have wider or deeper feet then the straps will not hold on the velcro tab that is available. Length is good.
