Don't buy
These shoes lasted less than 5 months before the sole wore thru and there was a hole on the bottom. REI staff said they are not designed for everyday use and offered no refund or credit. Disappointing.
Great shoes for older people
I have never bought this brand of shoes before and I absolutely love them. Have problems with my fate, and these are the first shoes that I can wear all day long and be perfectly comfortable. They are truly amazing and the nonslip feature is so important for older people.
Comfy but big
I have another pair of Astrals in women's 6. I ordered this pair in W6 and it is a whole size too large. Unfortunately they don't offer it in a size smaller so I'll have to return them. So ladies, don't go by the women's size listed. Go a size down!! Otherwise, I love Astrals.
Quality control?
These shoes seemed to be just what I’d hoped for until I put on the left shoe and there was a hard crinkled lumpy ridge under the toe area making them unwearable. Returning. May try again if I can be assured they won’t send me the same defective pair. Fit seemed good—I am a women’s 7 or 7.5 and the 5 mens/6 womens would have fit well except for the defect.
Great show bad sizing
This show is super comfortable and I love the barefoot feel. That being said, I wear a size 12 in every shoe/boot I’ve ever owned. This shoe’s toe box is absolutely enormous (primarily in width) that I actually had to return it. Haven’t tried an 11 yet but I might have to when it comes in stock
great on land; on water?
i got these as canoe shoes to use in the boat, wading, and protaging. they are great on land. very comfortable and the water resistance is a plus if its wet. i don't like them as water shoes. they don't drain and once wet, they are wet all day. they may not be the most breathable shoes , either, which can make them not. but very comfortable for all day wear and light hiking
A stand-out sneaker without wedgy soles!
These are nearly precisely what Astral claims. Sturdy build, relatively neutral sole, appealing sneaker good for walking. How long can you walk in them without discomfort? I can’t say yet, nor can I yet speak to the water resistance factor. Excellent fit, with just the right amount of space in the toe box
My go to activity shoe
So far so good. I’ve had these shoes for a few months now and they seem to be holding up pretty well. They are my go to for disc golfing. Waterproof, light, and grip really well. Also just wear them for daily activities like walking the dogs or whatever. Love the room in the toe box. Very comfortable shoe.
what about natural material?
being a "recycled" polyester material on rubber, your body and feet have no natural grounding ability what so ever. Just because it says recycled polyester does not mean it is good for your body or you are saving the planet. LOL
Very comfortable, good-looking shoes
I like flat shoes, but sometimes they don’t fit well. These ones are very comfortable and they can be used with a bit more formal attire
