I bought this about a month ago for walking and jogging. (I'm not a high mileage person -- 20-40 miles per week.) I've worn ASICS for years and usually buy my running shoes at a small running specialty store. But an REI gift certificate holiday gift motivated me to check out the shoes at REI. I pronate, wear orthotics, and have plantar fasciitis so I need a shoe with fairly good support but not too over the top because of the orthotics. The sales guy was excellent. He brought me a few shoes that all met the criteria I described quite well, including my familiar ASICS and the Brooks Adrenaline GTS 14 & 15. The GTS 14 was super light but didn't have enough support. However, the GTS 15 knocked it out of the park! They felt great from the moment I put them on - great cushion and support yet fairly light - and they continue to feel great several weeks out on my daily walks/jogs. I highly recommend these shoes and the shoe dept at REI!
This product adds extra cushion toward the inner foot for those of us who have a pronating gate (knees lean towards each other). It is a great running shoe. However, sizing in brooks can be next to impossible for wide feet. If you tend to wear a 7.5 in run shoes, then order the same size. But, I'm a 7 normal on the brannock scale for feet, even though I tend to wear 7.5-8 depending on the brand or model of any given shoe. My toe box is larger than most, but I'm not technically a wide foot. I ordered the 7.5 Wide version of this shoe and it remains much too tight around my toes, but long enough on the front. If you have wide feet at all, reconsider something like Newbalance. These and Asics tend to run narrow.
Best shoe I can find for running pavement. I have a neutral to slight pronation and this shoe works best for me. It has good cushion to absorb and feels good every step. Holds up well. I have white and this dark color. Plan to get the blue in May '15. Go Brooks!
I have worn the Brooks Adrenaline GTS for running/walking for years. It has been my go-to shoe. I needed a new pair and was excited to find these on clearance in the store. Was very disappointed to find that they changed the footbed this year. These feel so different, and not in a good way. Felt very high in the heel and more narrow in the toe box. Had to return. Am going to try the GTS 16 and hope they feel better.
I love these shoes. They feel great with plenty of room in the toe box and I love the arch support. I can't wear alot of shoes because of that. I love the colors and looks great with jeans. Had several pairs of this certain style and keep coming back. I wear an 8 1/2 and they are a perfect fit. So I feel they are true to size.
I've been wearing the GTS 14 for a few months while training for a half. I wanted a new pair for my next race and ordered the new GTS 15's. They are much smaller and I am going to have to exchange for a half size up. I hope they are as great as the 14's were. I won't wear anything other than Brooks!
I wear these many times a week for a three+ mile walk/run in the morning before work. They work great on pavement and sidewalks with a good arch support and cushioning for road running. I have had knee pain in the past with shoes that don't have a proper arch support or enough cushioning
Bought these for my daughter and in the short time she's had them has made them her favorite pair of shoes. She says they're incredibly comfortable and you can tell by the feel that they are a solid piece of gear.
Shoes are fine - only complaint is that I can't find a narrow tennis shoe so these are too wide unless I really synch them up.
These shoes are extremely comfortable. I have very flat feet and these shoes make walking, running and working a pleasure.
