Very comfortable

My boyfriend and I each bought one of these chairs last year for camping. They are great! Unexpectedly comfortable, super quick and easy to set up, easy to pack up, and packs up very small (which is what initially sold us). We have also brought them with us on our kayaks to get out and have lunch. They work like a charm every time. A little spendy for a camp chair, but if you're looking to use them a few times a year I believe they are worth the investment. I should add, we compared the comfort and sturdiness of these to another brand and the Alite took the cake.

Great Chair

Finally used my new chair on a backpacking trip. Most people would say it's to heave to take, but I really enjoyed it. This char is comfortable sitting back and sitting up. The chair when I compared it to the other brands had a wider higher back that was more comfy. Only thing missing was a headrest to fall asleep.

wouldn't fold back up

I bought this chair for backpacking after realizing during my first backpacking trip that I definitely wanted a chair to relax in after 12 hours of hiking. Took it out this weekend, and it was great! Until I went to pack it up. The two front feet would not come out of their socket. Everyone in my camp tried to pull them out. It should have pulled out with ease like the rest of the rods. I bought two of these - one for me and one for my husband - and they *both* had the same exact problem. Kind bummed to have purchased a tiny $$$ backpacking chair and I can't fold it back up. I'm going to be returning it.

Great replacement to accordion style chairs.

Purchased this to replace the standard folding camp chairs that are about 3 feet long to save space in my stern kayak hatch. So far i love this chair. I even surprise my friends when we go hiking and i pull this out of my 27L daypack when we make camp. Setup takes under a minute once you have done it 2 or 3 times. I love how the frame uses elastic to keep the poles connected like your tent poles would be, makes it real easy to quick connect. If you grab it by the center pole and shake the frame you can actually get all the poles to connect themselves most of the time. This could just be an issue with my unit but one of the legs would not fit in as smoothly as the others did. A little encouragement is necessary to get the last leg in. One this i have noticed is that if the ground is not perfectly level, the fabric will sit offset and you will feel the frame underneath you. Simple fix. Also because of the small point of contact with the ground it may be necessary to use something flat underneath to disburse the weight and prevent it from sinking into moist of sandy terrain. Great tall backsupport, comfortable when leaning back, but if leaning forward to do miscellaneous tasks my legs tend to get numb and fall asleep. Great product, very satisfied!

Great for backcountry

These little chairs are great. It fits easily into a pack, and is a wonderful alternative to a rock or log for relaxing once you set up camp (or even break for lunch). I also use it as a shelf to hold cooking supplies while prepping meals. At this point, it is an essential part of my gear for any overnight backpacking trip.
