Rated 1 out of 5 by from Did not hold up These pants lasted less than 1 month. They were worn even day for about 2 hours while out walking in December and January. Both legs of the pants developed splits on the inside of the leg at the knee near the seams.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bicycle Commuting This is just what I was looking for: It folds down small so I can always have it in my bag in case it starts raining. The side zips work well- I never have to take my shoes off to get the pants on or off. The elastic at the ankles are enough to keep the pants away from my chains. I think I read in another review that the material may not hold up well if you are going to be sitting on a lot of rough surfaces, but this is not an issue on the bike.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great ski team pants My daughter wore size XS short for ski team practice all last winter. She also used the pants over her speed suit on race days. She really liked the flexibility to add layers or wear as little as bike shorts underneath these pants so she could use them in all conditions. She loved the side zips for easy on/off at races. She says no issues with water leaking thru. She has asked for a new pair for this ski season since she has gotten a lot taller and now needs size S regular. :-)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for biking I bike commute and needed a pair of rain pants to keep water and grime off. These pants are incredibly light and packable. I love the side zip; both sides open up completely so you don't have to remove your shoes. They're also roomy enough to layer below. The only "negative" I see is that the hips are attached by velcro. I'd prefer a clip but the velcro is durable enough. I'm not sure how these hold up for hiking, but they're great for biking.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome design - easy on/easy off I bought these because I misplaced my previous rain pants. When I tried them on I did not notice the winning feature - they zip completely up each side making them easy on/easy off. No more having to remove my hiking boots to put on the rain pants, and I can wait until they are really needed to put them on. And they kept me dry in a heavy extended downpour. Great job, Marmot!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for keeping dry in the rain Best pair of rain pants I've ever purchased. It's very light weight and kept me dry during my entire trip to Mt. LeConte. It was misty to the lodge and had poured for 3 miles back to my car and I was still able to stand dry. I got the short length and it was still a tab bit long for me, I'm 5'3". There's elastic with an adjustable tab on the edge of the bottom hem of the pants that you can tighten to adjust the length a little bit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It'll keep you dry !! great design in functionality, super easy to put on or remove the pants with the ankle boots on. Six hours of hiking in the rain and snow in Patagonia, it kept my inner pants dry. I'm very satisfied with this product and purchase!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic! I bought these for a trip to Patagonia where the weather changes rather quickly. They were amazing; not only did they keep out wind and rain, but I just love the full zip! Thank you Marmot for making a full zip for women!

Questions & Answers

I am long waisted and short legged. Do these pants fit low-rise, high rise or somewhere in between? Is there adequate leg room for full hips and thighs. Some reviews said they were more of a man's cut....?

Asked by: PotF
These pants offer a high rise. Although designed to fit the female form, reviewers find that these pants can run large.

Just received these in the mail. There are 2 front pockets, but no rear zippered pocket as mentioned in the description. Curious if one can put the pants into one of the pockets for easy storage and carrying?

Asked by: Cathorse
You are correct, there is not a back pocket. We will have our web site corrected. These pants are not designed to stuff into their own pocket.

Should I order my usual pant size for these rain pants or should I order one size larger because they will be worn-over hiking pants?

Asked by: BD from WA
For hiking pants, generally you do not need to go up a size. For heavy fleece or down pants, a larger size may be needed.
