Outdoor Research  Aspire 3L Pants - Women's

Haven’t been able to test these pants in the rain yet - purchased these pants in May on sale (it isn’t the rainy season in my location). Bought these pants to bring for an upcoming March Norway trip. The long zippers make it easier to wear these rain pants over another insulating layer and over boots. Wish these “short sized” pants were 3 inches shorter (I am only 5 feet tall). Except for the length, these feel comfortable and fit relatively well. I like the smoother feel of the fabric when compared to similar pants. Love the quality and thoughtful design of Outdoor Research products.

The Aspire Women’s rain pants are just about the best you can find, other than Arc’Teryx Beta Pants, which are very very expensive. I love that they are a local Company and I buy a lot of their products because the quality is pretty darn good. I like that they give you an option to purchase rain pants in “short” length. The only other company that gives this option is REI, but the quality isn’t as nice as Outdoor Research products. The pants themselves are completely waterproof and very comfortable. You just can’t go wrong with them. I highly recommend them.

These pants are way too long. I ordered the regular length. I'm 5'6'. There was just too much bunchy fabric in the crotch and from the knees down. I am returning and one of the reasons I won't reorder for a "short" is that they have only one hip pocket with a zip. My old REI rain pants had side hand pockets and talk about convenient! It's like these pant were made for a man. I have found that a lot with Outdoor Research clothing.

I recently started wearing the Women’s Aspire 3L Pants, and they’ve been fantastic for daily use here in southeast Alaska. They’re incredibly comfortable, and I really appreciate the convenience of not having to take my boots off to put them on. For the wet and unpredictable weather we get, these pants are practical and reliable, making them a perfect everyday choice.

Most durable and waterproof rain pants I’ve owned. They kept me dry through a month long canoe trip, and held up extremely well. The full length zipper made them easy to take on and off over boots. The fabric was breathable and very sturdy, hard to rip. Highly recommend!!

These were a little expensive but worth it. I love the ease of getting them on over pants and boots. And especially like the elastic adjustable waist that is not a tight gripping elastic like another brand I have. Well made!
