Rated 5 out of 5 by from Most comfortable warm, dry boots My husband and I purchased these boots over 7 years for winter window cleaning and other outdoor activities requiring good traction. Mine have no leakage, while my husband's are just starting to exhibit some leakage when in real slushy conditions. (My husband has gotten alot more use from his and has not cleaned/treated/waterproofed the uppers in all those years) These are the most comfortable, warm and lightweight boots we've ever owned. We required something that wasn't bulky and easy to walk and kneel with, while being waterproof and warm. These fit all of those requirements. We don't do winter hiking, but would imagine that they would be great for that use as well. The stiff soles make walking feel more like wearing a hiking boot than a shoe, but if that is the trade-off for warm, dry and good traction we can handle that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This boot made me a total fan of REI! These boots are absolutely fantastic and I give them my highest recommendation. I couldn't believe they came in a size 5 which is very difficult to find. I have had really bad luck with boots that were supposed to be waterproof and were not and so far I have had completely dry feet. I love that they are warm in addition to being lightweight.

Are these true to size or do they run small like other Lowa hiking boots? My street shoe size is a 9.5, but all the Lowa's I've owned have been a full size larger.

Asked by: KrisBabs
We recommend ordering a half size up from your normal shoe size.

are they as warm as the pow wow vasque winter boot

Asked by: Deborah Ann
The Vasque Pow Pow Boots are warmer as they have 400 grams of insulation. The Trident II GTX Winter Boots do not have insulation; they only have a polyester/wool lining that provides warmth.
