Runs EXTREMELY SMALL AND TIGHT!!! I am a 9.5 and had to size up to a 10 which is still very snug and uncomfortable; so much so that my toes were going numb after a few minutes of wear. I returned and am waiting for a 10.5 to see if that will fit better. I’ve never had to size up this much before in any shoe; hiking boot, running shoes, winter boots, etc.
I hike and snowshoe in these boots daily. Very comfortable, no breaking in needed. Waterproof and great traction.
The shoes run noticeably small, at least half a size, if not a full size, smaller than expected. With my usual size, wearing double-layered socks felt quite tight, and adding a toe warmer caused my toes to bend inward uncomfortably. The shoes also felt tight around the ankles, making walking even on concrete quite uncomfortable.I'm not sure if the discomfort and pain contributed to my toes feeling cold, or if the shoes simply lacked sufficient warmth, but wearing them throughout the trip was consistently uncomfortable and bothersome.
I'd read the reviews about these running small and ordered up a fully size... only to find that my toes were still jamming up against the end. Believe the word: these run absurdly small! I'd previously tried on the men's version and felt like I was walking on clouds with the interior comfort (they are definitely heavy boots). The women's version felt nothing like the men's, and I don't think it was simply because of sizing. I returned and went with a different brand of boot altogether.
Narrow in the heel which for me is good but for some, not so good. Comfortable and warm. Order a size up.
Exactly what I wanted - boots for snowshoeing! The fit is roomy, kept feet warm and dry, and surprisingly comfortable for 5+ miles. These replaced my 20+ years old boots and was nervous they would never match but these are just as perfect!
Good boots; have used it once and happy with the feeling; sturdy and covers ankle nicely. Need to get one size higher.
