Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Blend for me I love the even, steady energy I get when I use Hammer Perpetuem. I am training to walk a marathon, so my workouts are long... I have felt really balanced since I started using Perpetuem on my walks. I am not getting energy lows and spikes; don't ever feel hungry; no bloating or digestive rumblings. It has also lessened side effects like puffy fingers. Personally, I really like the Cafe Latte flavor. I find it helpful to mix it up well in advance in a large pitcher. It needs a lot of stirring otherwise it will have chewy lumps! Once it is mixed it does not fall out of solution, but does not keep for more than a couple days.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great stuff! This stuff is my go to for long rides, goes down easy on my sensitive stomach. The taste is very mild so it makes drinking easy, I feel well hydrated and energized when I'm drinking it on rides. There is guidance for how to mix based on your body weight and how many hours you are planning on exercising which is super helpful when you are using it for the first few times. Only down side is when you get a large bin of it it can be messy to package into smaller portions for refills on long rides, but that can be said about any powered drink.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Keeps me going! Perpetuem is easy to use and has a mild, pleasant taste that does not leave an aftertaste or cause cottonmouth. It keeps me spinning pedals on long bike rides. I take one bottle of Perpetuem mixed in water and one bottle of plain water, and with a few bananas, I am good for a 3 hour ride in the Sierra Foothills. Without this, I sometimes get muscle cramps on long hills late in a ride, but when I take Perpetuem, I do not get cramps and can stay on my bike. Note, I am in my mid-50s, and so muscle cramps are not uncommon without supplemental magnesium, even when I am not training.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 100 Miles on only dates and Perpetuem Last Saturday after having a good breakfast of oatmeal and dates I rode a 100 miles on only dates and Perpetuem with no upset stomach. In fact as soon I came home after taking a shower I asked my wife if she wanted to go out on a date. Woo Hoo!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Seems to work Easy on the belly. Gluten free. Seems to keep me going on long rides and prevent lactic acid build up?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good for sustained energy on long rides. Great portable nutrition for long rides/runs. Easier to get down than bars and includes protein as an energy source. Easy to customize the concentration to meet the specific needs of your workout/ride. I've heard complaints about taste but I like the creamsicle flavor. It will start to sour if exposed to heat for a while and can become unpalatable, but that's expected from a substance with no preservatives.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The Ultimate Endurance Fuel This is the ultimate fuel for anything over 4 hours. It burns slow and clean with amazingly consistent energy output. I like to mix up a 4 - 8 hour bottle and supplement fluids from a hydration bladder or another bottle and lytes in capsule form. As long as I stay hydrated and avoid an overly concentrated mix, stomach issues have been nil. I have been using Perpetuem for about 7 years and love it!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Can't find the right mix I use Perpetuem during workouts and after. I enjoy the mild taste of coffee. Flavor is unique but a bit difficult to get the right mix. Although I like the taste, I have a difficult time getting the right mix, both taste and consistency. In order to help get the right consistency I started mixing it first with 100ml of hot water, then add another equal amount of room temperature.

Does it contain an electrolyte such as Heed?

Asked by: Mateja
Perpetuem does contain electrolites but it is a small amount, and cyclists often supplement their Perpetuem with Endurolytes.
