Best ultralight base layer bottom I've tried

Wow! the best base layer bottom I've had and nice and soft and breathable. I was hesitant about ordering this due to cost but was intrigued by the term "ultralight" which is what I really wanted as I'm using them for sleeping in. I saw several "lightweight" bottoms but this was the only "ultralight" I could find. They totally fit the bill, very lightweight and comfortable and quality construction that I think should really last. The sizing was very true to size and the rise was nice, not too short or high, just perfect! My favorite part though was the length. I wear a average length pants(30") and several other base layer pants I've tried are very short, barely reaching my ankle but this was was actually a bit(several) inches too long but it isn't an issue like it would be on pants due to the elastic around the ankle, it just doubles up over the ankle but if you stretch the extra material is there for you. Some people might not like it doesn't have a fly but personally I don't like fly's on underwear, I just pull it down when I need to go. All in all I really like this product and would highly suggest it.

Short lifespan

I bought these last winter, and put them in rotation with my other long John’s. They took several washes to break in, but felt great once they did. Great insulation for such lightweight. Last winter was fairly mild and now halfway thru this one, they’re already threadbare and have a couple holes in them. I gotta deduct 3 stars. I stick to merino from here out

Frigile

They ripped the 4th time I used them. They have only been washed once by hand in special wool detergent. Very sad. They do not hold up to normal wear and tear.
