A pretty darn good vegan camp meal

Received free product

Tasty! It is your basic pasta marinara, camp style. 370 calories and 12g of protein probably isn’t quite enough if you spent the day hiking so get the double serving if you need more fuel. A little bit chewy since it’s difficult to not end up with undercooked brown rice noodles, but the tomato sauce was surprisingly flavorful. No veggie meat crumbles, which would make this meal tops for me, personally.

Savory and Filling

This was a tasty option for backpacking food. The food was savory and filling. Unlike some of the more known brands, Good to-go's ingredient list is recognizable. The food was easy to prepare, but like most of their products takes 12 minutes for the food to be ready. The water measurements can be a bit challenging, but I used the measuring cup on my Jetboil. I would buy this product again

Not one to add to your list.

Generally not fit for consumption. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is the (claimed) ingredient list is fairly straightforward and it's gluten-free. I really can't think of any reason to spend $10 on a backpacking meal like this when there are better and cheaper alternatives to trail nutrition. I added shredded parm cheese, salt, and pepper to see if I could enhance the flavor and it helped marginally. Eaten at home while hungry after a 4 day backpacking trip.

Tasty for a backpacking meal

This is a good flavor! 2x servings fill me up and I typically have some left over. I love good to go meals for backpacking. They taste pretty close to eating an actual cooked meal. And that makes such a difference when you’re starving in the backcountry. Also pretty clean ingredients as well.

Improved from last version

Tore into this when my planned meal on a trip fell through. Wasn’t expecting much since the last time I had this, the noodles didn’t cook well, but I was pleasantly surprised with this! Huge improvement from prior versions where the pasta was a rigatoni type, which took longer to cook, if at all. The rice noodles are thin pad-Thai type noodles, which I didn’t mind. The sauce is flavorful but not too salty. This meal helped in a hunger ermegency.

Satisfying dinner

This is one of my go-to trail dinners. Really flavorful and filling. But I am so disappointed that it now only comes as a single serving, rather than the double serving, which was a great calorie source on those long trail days. Good to Go needs to bring back double serving packages!
