First of all, customer service is amazing. Thank you for what you did. This is my 3rd nathan pack. I loved my last one so much i was skeptical! But. I love it! The pockets are super deep. You can basically fit the kitchen sink without all the bulk. I'm a 34 D , 5'5 and 131 lbs and the fit is pretty customizable. Not sure how it would fit a smaller person. I love how it has front side pockets. Thr zippers on those pockets are a little cheap but hey it works. I love the big zipper back pocket/storage. I like the thicknesses of the shoulder straps, i feel better support overall thst way.
Okay I looove my Howe for running, but if you are considering 1 pack to hike and run then this might be your baby. This has a little more room then the Howe and I would dare to say more rugged. I like that this has the elastic attachments for poles. My older models have elastic laces for securing items onto the outside of the pack. This allows me to take my little butt cushion on hikes/runs so I can have my coffee in the snow. Yes, I like the luxuries in life and a hefty lunch as well. In this pack I can get my micro spikes, small thermos, jacket, lunch, first aid kit, extra shirt, gloves, hat etc. This is my full day pack! I get everything skillfully into this when my friends are taking larger more cumbersome packs. It allows me to move freely scrambling steep terrain, and I am not even aware it's on. For running, I prefer my Howe pack but I have no complains running in this one either. I have gravitated to using the Howe to run and the Airess for hiking because I own multiple colors of both models. This is a good choice for someone who is looking for 1 pack to do both sports. I have included run and hike photos with it on. Also one of a few of my packs being shared demo'd
Just returned from a 6 day adventure in Colorado. Used my Nathan vest everyday and I’m hooked!
I received this after wanting a hydration pack for my longer training runs. It’s perfect! Not too heavy or jiggly as long as you get the extra air out of the bladder. The hose stays put with a magnet, the pockets are perfect for phone and snacks and it’s adjustable. For reference I’m typically a size small and 34b bust. I will be wearing this for an upcoming trail half marathon. I’ve also worn for hikes and will be taking on my trip to Scotland for numerous hikes we will be doing throughout the country. So glad I finally got this.
NOT for small women. If you’re small/thin, do not buy this vest. The size range is simply too broad. They need a third size. The xxs-m is overall too big. Essentially, it is a seize medium. There is no way to tighten it on the sides (it has bungees on the sides, but they do not tighten the waist). It is just overall too big, which makes it bounce around a lot while I run, leaving rashes all down my back. I wish they had one size smaller, because I really love the design, and all the pockets. I’m 5’7” and about 120 pounds. I wear a dress size 2, jeans size 27. I think this vest (size xxs-m) is for a dress size 6 person, and at least 5’5”.
I love this hydration vest. The adjustable fit is makes it perfectly fit without bouncing or chafing. The kangaroo pocket is my favorite feature as I can store gloves or jacket without stopping. I also love that I can attach my poles to the back of the pack when I am not using them. The bladder is easy to fill and close and clean, a big plus.
Pockets upon pockets! It's extremely light and comfortable, and did I mention the amount of pockets! I can store all my gels, snacks, sunglasses, phone, jacket, and more in this vest.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this vest! Very comfortable and holds everything I need plus extras! Can’t wait to see how many adventures and races I do with this vest!
So much room for everything I could possibly need. I absolutely love it
Very comfortable, but the biggest bummer is that the front pockets don't work for bottles. I'd rather use bottles than bladder so I can better manage my liquid calorie intake. Had I known the bottle pockets were so much smaller than the previous packs, I never would have purchased this one. Overall comfort is amazing. Nathan has nailed that. All their packs are so comfy. The hiking poles loops are quite small and my elbows bump it as I run so that's not super awesome. That's one thing Nathan packs haven't nailed, pole carrying. Great product, comfortable, just a few annoyances which will prevent me from buying this style again.
