Extremely comfortable, plenty of pockets, and fits really well! The new design is pretty nice and I love the colors, the thinner cinch-straps take some getting used to - but I appreciate that they kept the pockets similar to past Pinnacle design. The material is just as soft and strong as before, so it’s quite comfortable yet I don’t have to worry about scratching or ripping the fabric while hiking/scrambling through brambles or thick vegetation. I’ve used it mountain biking, morel & shed hunting, birding, general hiking, and also threw it in my bag for a backpacking trip to use for day hikes away from camp and it was perfect!! With the water bladder full and/or the pack pretty full, you’ll have to have the chest straps pretty loosened out, but as you drink down the water it gets more comfortable/cinches back down.
I love this vest! It’s very lightweight and does not feel like I’m wearing a bulky annoying vest! It has so many pockets to hol all my things. I absolutely love this vest and can’t recommend it enough:)
I got this vest last summer just a few weeks before a 42k trail race, it had no break in period and I've never had any issues with chafing (note: I haven't tried it with just a sport bra). Things I love: - lots of water storage! I've rarely needed to use the back reservoir but it's great piece of mind when I do fill it. Also the seal for the rear reservoir is slick. - the adjustable straps on the front. not only for easy tightening and loosening but the ability to adjust vertically up and down, which is helpful depending on layers and what you are packing in your pockets - lightweight and breathable - some secure zipper storage - no bouncing of the water bottle straws, little straps keep them in place. they also have an elastic loop but I've discovered I don't need to futz with that so stopped using it. - lots of other storage, you can carry phone, keys, lots of snacks, roll of dog bags, etc without any issue. I can stuff a layer in the back and it's still super comfortable. Things I would change if I could: - the freaking tops of the hyrdapak bottles are a nightmare. 8 months of solid use and i dread trying to get them seated and sealed. every. single. time. I should just cave and buy new ones, I guess. - the tube from the rear reservoir... I haven't quite figured out the best way to store it so it just hangs tucked between the front straps. that works, but feels like it should have a more official home - the storage pockets wrap all the way around so your items can migrate, making them tricky to access. I think I'd prefer a seam on the side and another access point on the back. - the front hydrapak bottles have a plastic piece in them to help with shoving them in your pockets... just be sure to always load them with the plastic facing out, otherwise you might get some bruising on your rib cage. All in all, a great option for anyone looking to upgrade their running vest.
Ran my first ultra marathon with this pack and was so pleased. I have struggled with finding something that didn't shift during movement. The pack never moved, yet felt light and seamless. I was happy to adjust the ties as my fuel depleted from the pouches. Would recommend to all my friends.
I've been using this vest on Sunday long runs and really enjoying it! The fit is great—snug but not restrictive, and the elastic front closure is a huge improvement over previous clip versions. I've had under arm and neck chaffing in the past but haven't had any issues with this product. It moves with me and feels much more comfortable on long runs. The only minor downside is that the water in the reservoir does slosh around a bit, even with burbing it, but that’s expected with any hydration pack. There are pockets in the front for soft flasks when you don't need the full bladder.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Nathan Pinnacle Pro 6L hydration vest is GORGEOUS and impresses with its perfect fit, ample storage, and smart design. The adjustable straps ensure a snug yet comfortable fit, preventing any bouncing during runs. I'm obsessed with the well-placed pockets that make it easy to access my (birthday cake) gels and my phone! The lightweight materials and mesh back provide excellent ventilation, keeping me cool and dry. This vest is practical, durable, may I say, gorgeous. Highly recommend it for any runner wanting to look and feel AMAZING!
Size small was a comfortable fit for my frame (5'3", 135lbs). Lots of ways to adjust the fit, but I wish there was a way to stow/corral the extra cord as I find it distracting when it's flopping around during the run. Nice to have hydration flasks, plus the option of a bladder if it's going to be super hot or a really long outing. I wore for a trail 1/2 marathon and it easily held everything I needed. Fabric is soft and lightweight, no crinkly noise. Additional lighter color option would be nice.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was my first time using a hydration pack with bottles instead of a bladder, and I was pleasantly surprised. The bottles hold a substantial amount of water, yet the pack feels incredibly lightweight. Even on my 9-mile trail runs, it stayed securely in place without any bouncing or shifting. It’s extremely comfortable. The pack features multiple zippered pockets, providing plenty of secure storage for essentials like keys, a phone, and energy gels. I especially appreciate that, unlike my previous pack, this one didn’t cause any skin irritation—even when wearing a tank top. If I could change one thing, I would prefer slightly longer straws so I wouldn’t have to tilt my head down as much to drink, but that’s purely personal preference. Overall, I’m very happy with this pack—its comfort, stability, and storage capacity make it a fantastic choice for longer runs.
This vest is comfortable, perfect for medium to long runs, love the ability to take water and electrolytes both in the two separate bottles. Love the large bottom pocket at the back of the vest for multiple gels (or could fit a phone)!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this product for my marathon and it was super comfortable and really breathable throughout the entire race. I also really liked how the water was in the front, so it didn’t bounce around and bother me at all throughout the race.
